You most took a room with shower. If not....the bathroom are very poor. The location are excellent. The staff are very cool....!

rooms were snmall but expected, the receptionist was never there when we needed them which was kinda a piss off, but a good hotel for the price, zermatt is expensive so well worth it for the money you pay

Staff were great - where the free breakfast is. I also arrived very late for dinner at Mtropol and they managed to fit me in. Service is fantastic :) The spa, sauna and steam room in the Hotel Metropol were great after my hike and it was well priced. Free wifi was handy. A couple of real Fawlty Towers moments! The wife of the couple that runs the hotel was very friendly and accommodating, but the husband was, well, Basil Fawlty. Crazy!

For 50ch including breakfast was the best value we had in Switzerland. Zermatt can be very expensive and this made our stay very enjoyable. Thanks to the staff for their friendly and helpful service. Will return in the future to the Alfa in Zermatt.

i read a couple of comments that said it was to long of a walk. i thought it was an excelent location unless you are just lazy. the staff was great! and you have a beautiful view of the mattahorn from the hotel patio
