Shouldn't be called a youth hostel. Plenty of older people and families staying there. Even older people (40+ years) by themselves (no family). Directions to the hostel were horrible. On your arrival to Zermatt and making it to the hostel for the first time just take the bus to the Luchre stop.... more

Cheap prices and miserly features (showers fixed to luke warm! and $2.50 to use the microwave!) but it's the only game in town and it's not that bad so just prepare and you'll be fine. It's clean and warm, and it has good free internet.
