You will love it coz you will see Matterhorn right after you open the window of your room in the morning!! but it is expensive. and they didn't give me discount even I missed the dinner..it took me more than 30minutes to find this hostel, if you plan to ski, it is not a good option, coz you had... more

Bit more expensive then most hostels, but the breakfast and dinner more then make up for it. Dinner and Breakfast was great, saved time and money. Place is new and clean. well worth the extra money

It's a nice hostel. Good location, very clean and reasonable price. One of several things that I like for this hostel is they provides us both breakfast and dinner. For me, it's one of the best choice in Zermatt.

Very clean, though kind of institutional. Great that breakfast and dinner was included, though paying for tea and coffee was not something I was prepared to do. Only one complaint: they need to give better directions. I found the place mostly due to luck and my lonely planet book.

This hostel was up on the hill in Zermatt. It was easy to catch the bus from the train station to the hostel and the signage was good so easy to find. The hostel room had great views of the Matterhorn. Security cards were used for each room. Hot showers. Good food. A short walk to the town... more

Fantastic hostel for easy access to both the mountain and town. Only a 15 minute walk from the station however up some steep paths.. Both breakfasts and dinners are included in the price so when you work it out its quite cheap (dinner is nice, breakfast is fairly basic).

Fantastic hostel, the view was amazing and the deck that was attached to the dining area was a bonus. The bus (turn left and go down street to bus stop about 1 block away) drops you off one minute from the hostel - the taxi drivers are very pushy and will try and get you to take an expensive ride...

This accommodation was overpriced, however the whole town seems to be expensive. They lost my booking and then argued with me at length, despite my showing them the booking details. The meal was also very ordinary. I would not recommend this hostel. If there is another in Zermatt, go to that... more

I thought it was very expensive, although the meals were pretty good. For the price, I expected some free internet access. Somewhat sterile atmosphere; staff not particularly friendly. Worth it for the location.

The woman at the reception was constatly on the phone - making personnal phone calls - and ignoring the people waiting. She was also not very helpful when I asked her questions about the facilities. Otherwise, nice hostel. The view from my room was wonderful.

The hostel was a bit out of the way in Zermatt, but besides was a great experience. ABSOLUTELY stay here if only for the AMAZING meals that are included with your stay. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and made this hostel a great value!

I totally enjoyed my stay in Zermatt and the hostel played a significant role. Although the staff only reserved 1 room (we had made reservations for two), they were helpful enough to arrange and settle things. Wonderful view out the window onto the Matterhorn!

It's wasn't really a "youth" hostel. When I came out of my room in the morning, a man in his forties came out of his room next door with four empty beer bottles in his hands. It was kind of weird, and I felt less comfortable because of it. I'm glad that we didn't have to share a room... more

It was at the top of the city, up a lot of hills, and very clean and quiet, but maybe a bit expensive for what they offered. However, the food was pretty good for being included in the price. There is a fee for your room key as well, which is annoying.

Great location, very clean and up scale. the wireless internet costs money and accepts your money but then never works and you don't get refunds. this was more of a family and over 40 place very few youths in the youth hostel. but the skiing zermatt more than makes up for it

Great place, I would definitely stay here again. Not as hard to find as some people make it out to be. The only drawback is you have to pay for internet, but then again that's not why you go to Zermatt.

Shouldn't be called a youth hostel. Plenty of older people and families staying there. Even older people (40+ years) by themselves (no family). Directions to the hostel were horrible. Though the price seems to be expensive, it's acceptable by considering breakfast and dinner incl. The dinner was good enough and staffs were very kind. As it takes about 15 min. (or more) on foot from the station, it will be tough when with heavy luggage.
