Though the price seems to be expensive, it's acceptable by considering breakfast and dinner incl. The dinner was good enough and staffs were very kind. As it takes about 15 min. (or more) on foot from the station, it will be tough when with heavy luggage.

the hostel was OK, but not fun at all, it doesn't even has a bar, very much of an older atmosphere, it's a family place, i think me and my friend were the only ones there without the parents! lol... not what we expected! The staffs were not very helpful and not in a very good mood in the mornings...

The slope climb up to the hostel itself with all the backpacks and luggages feels like climbing up to the Matterhorn already! A good workout indeed, but not with all the loads though..

Directions on Hostelworld were not adequate. Laundry machines didn't work well, especially the dryer. We booked a 4-person room for 3 nights. When we got there the staff told us we could have a room to ourselves for the first 2 nights, which was great. However, on the last night they moved us to a 6-person room. We were fortunate to share it with nice people... but don't count on getting what you paid for.close

The Youthhostel Zermatt provides a wonderful experience for us in Zermatt. You can see Matterhorn through the windows. The restaurant support both breakfirst and dinner. It is a recommended place for staying in Zermatt.

I was very satisfied with the accomodation in your hostel. However, Switzerland is a very expensive country for me (Slovakia). But the outlook from Rothorn or Gornergrat is fantastic. And the Matterhorn is in my mind the most beautiful mountain in the world.

Very clean and quiet, at least in my hallway. A nice retreat after noisy bustling hostels in other cities. Large enough to meet people from many different backgrounds. A bit of a pain to find it coming form the train station, but recommended overall. Get there early enough for dinner to take...
