At any time of the year, there are several outdoor activities available (walking, skiing, tobogganing, cycling etc). The town is a tourist paradise & swarms with school groups & small groups. Souvenir stands line the streets & there is a large market at the foot of Gubalowka Hill. Despite this, the place still retains a lot of charm & provides an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. We found most residents very friendly & only too pleased to help with polite enquiries.close

Top Rated Zakopane Places to Stay

  1. Villa Harenda 90%

Very akin to a bed and breakfast really. The breakfast is superb and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is a little awkward as it is a distance from the town.

Very nice accommodation; the location is a little too far out of town, but otherwise it's a great place to stay.

Good hostel! Only problem was that there is only one shower for the entire hostel, and the rooms are very cold, but otherwise it's all good.

It is alot further from the train and bus station than said. At least 30min walk.
