Zagreb is much cooler than the tour books say. Though I wouldn't say that you need to spend a whole lot of time there, it's good to spend a couple of days. There's not much to see in terms of sights, but Donji Grad, the southern part of the city, is lively and nice to walk around. The city has a nice feel to it. Try to avoid being there on a Sunday. It's dead. |

Attractive girls whereever you go and
a real fun city with affordable prices.
Have never seen so many street cafes
and places outside (perhaps because I
have only visited 45 countries so far). |

Zagreb was a really gorgeous little city which most people skip out in the rush to get to the Croatian coast. I say spend one night in Zagreb and you can see the majority of the town. Spend 2 nights and you can hit a few museums as well, which is well worth it. It's a very cosmopolitan little city, so don't go expecting any bargain shopping or anything. If you aren't heading further south into Croatia then a day trip to the Plitvice Lakes is also a good idea. |

I've been to Zagreb on some early April days, and the sun was there everywhere, unlike some other places in Europe.
Great place for chillig out, have a stroll around or simply sit down and have a nice, scrumptious ice-cream!!! |

zagreb is definitely not a gay hot spot. so the scene there is quite boring. but people (gay or not) are very interested in you and you may have some very nice encounters you would not have in New York or London. so give Zagreb a chance. |

I had heard that Zagreb was a bit of a bore before I visited so had no real expectations. But, it wasnt quite so bad. Sure theres not a whole load of sights and activities, but the cafe scene is great and pleanty of shopping to keep you busy. Not the most interesting city in the world but you will manage to keep yourself happy. |

check out the national park and lake district 2 and a half hours drive from Zagreb on the way to Split, beautiful green lakes and waterfalls..and some easy to moderate walking trails..it is a UNESCO world heritage sight. |

Zagreb was surprisingly quite happening and apparently I came on a Monday night which was non-party night but there were still heaps of people around. I thought the food was really good. The dude at the hostel told me to go to this restaurant/cafe type place called something Auria, sorry I can't remember the name, it's under the furnicular near Mango clothing store. And next to the Mango store is a really nice cake store there and order the Kremenista, get the Zagreb one, it's way nicer than the other flavours. The hot chocolate there is interesting so give that a try. As for museums, I thought the Naive Art museum was the best. I think two days is really enough in Zagreb, I would recommend going on side trips if your stay is longer. |

I was only there for a day and a half. Not too much of a good tourist city, but nightlife is a lot of fun. Not much to do during the day as in sightseeing. |

Loved the city, loved the trams, loved the weather. Only the breakfast culture sucks, because there seems to be none. |

Zagreb main centre isn\'t big, could walk around on foot within a day. |

it is a shame people are allowed to smoke in the main lounge...and the smoke enters the rooms...our room was clean, with lockers, and the beds are comfortable. The staff are helpful and speak good english. The location is a bit far but still close to the tram station. |

The owners are great, they instantly make you feel at home. The atmosphere is very relaxed.
The rooms, beds, bathrooms are very clean.
Ample of opportunity to meet other fellow-guests and travellers, and hit the night scene later...
Can't beat their location, bang in the middle of the centre, by Jelacic Square, 2 minutes from Gormji Grad (Upper Town) and Dornji Grad (Lower Town). |

Zagreb is a nice city, but you can get through all the major sights (minus the museums, we arent really museum people) in about two ours. Its easily walkable and the people seem to be pretty friendly. Great for a day trip or one overnight, but I wouldnt spend longer than that. |

Lots of fun but would probably be better in the summer when it\'s warm outside!!! |

Despite the walk up to the top flat it provides a perfect place to reside and allows you to escape Zagreb. The fact that there are a a few flights of stairs to get to the apartment it provides it own natural security. There is a supermarket and bakery down the road to stock the apartment and is about 20 mins walk into the main city square (that\'s if you want to walk) - it\'s about 5 mins by tram. I would definitely stay here again if I wanted to go to Zargreb again. |
