Mali Mrak hostel opened early last summer. It is located in downtown Zagreb, only 20-minute with public transport from the main square (the Ban Jelačić square) and 25 minutes from the Train Station (to the west). Mali Mrak has three floors. There are three spacious dormitories on the ground floor and on the first floor, and two dormitories in the attic. The dormitories are furbished with new, high-quality furniture (beds and wardrobes). The rooms have 2, 3, 4 and 7 beds. There is an air conditioner on each floor. Double bedrooms are equipped with TV and DVD sets. Our kind and friendly staff is available 24/7 at the reception, located at the very entrance into the Hostel on the ground floor. They will be happy to provide you with any information concerning the public transportation in Zagreb (trams, uses, trains, taxi), the places you would like to visit or recommend some sights and cultural events you mustn't miss (historic sights, museums, cinemas, theatres, concerts, performances and other events), as well as the city's night life hot spots where you can have fun and party all night long. Our staff can also inform you of the train, bus and airplane timetables and the places where you can get the best bargain on transport, food etc. Here you can also find some information and promotional material on Zagreb. There is also an option for the staff to take you to the place of your choice, or to a one of our choice. If you would like to experience Zagreb on the bicycle, then we are the right place for you because we rent bicycles very cheaply. Aside from the reception, there are three spacious dorms with cosy beds and new, clean linen on the ground floor. One of the four newly refurbished, perfectly clean bathrooms is also on the ground floor, with one toilet and a separated shower with sliding door, allowing for more than one person to use the bathroom at the same time, thus reducing queuing. There is an identical bathroom on the first floor, as well as an internet room with three computers and high-speed internet connection. Internet access is free of charge, which means you can use it as much as you like, of course with the agreement of all other guests. On this floor you will also find three large and comfortable rooms (with 4, 7 and two beds). The attic of the Hostel is especially cute and you will love it!!! At the entrance, there is a toilet. There is also a kitchenette. Although it is quite small, some of our guests have proven that even the most complicated specialties can be prepared in it. You have a microwave oven, toaster, and electric cooker, a refrigerator, and of course, cupboards and cutlery at your disposal. You can also relax, hang out, chat over a drink, or watch one of the DVDs from our collection or satellite TV in our large living room with 2 new sofas, armchair, several snuggle bags and chairs. In the attic we have two more rooms - one with 2 and one with 3 beds. Other services we offer include: laundry, three free parking lots, a terrace, additional beds for larger groups who want to stay in the same room and a lot of positive energy and understanding for your wishes. As has already been mentioned, we are a relatively new hostel and we are trying hard to meet all your demands. Please, do not hesitate to come to us with your suggestions, enquiries or demands. It is our main priority to make you feel at home!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are fantastic which was a bonus in the off season. The kitchen is well equipped and the shower was great. Everything was clean and cosy and the perfect place to hide away from the cold.

The staff is great. Very helpfull and friendly. Excellent internet service (3 computers). The kitchen is a bit small. Nice living room to rest, read or have some beers. It's a bit far from the center but it's just 1 tranway an it comes very often. Excellent experience.

Really chill place, friendly staff, free beer, comfortable beds, by far tops in zagreb. Location could be better, but it only takes 10 minutes by tram to get to the main square.

stayed for one night .simple to find from train station. don't be put off by the people who cant follow a map!! great interiors and communal room. rooms bathrooms and beds clean and comfy. cheap and cheerful.

Awesome hostel. Staff are super friendly and the hostel is in a quiet area but not far from the city centre. Great place to stay and meet other travellers or just kick back and enjoy a relaxing evening with the staff

a bit far out of the main area. but that said it is not too hard to take the tram in. More of an annoyance. the hostle itself was a bit cramped. not a bad choice though

the place was gooood!!! really fun.. except when i got back at 2:30 am and the guy at the reception was sleeping! i tried the ring 19 times until a guest came down and opened the door for me! no more beers for the staff hahaha

Livable hostel. Beds were clean as were the showers, even if they were abit exposing. Kitchen was a total joke. Staff were great and very, very helpful. Location is way out of town but it is still easy to get to and from. Not much going on in Zagreb. 1day stay max.

Good Hostel, internet is convenient and the place is extremely clean. Just wish it would have a little more sound proofing, especially since people tend to come back late and start Skyping at 2:00 a.m. Gets very noisy sometimes. But other then that, great hostel, great service, would recommend.

Was one of the cleanest places we have stayed...was especially surprised since it was a shared bathroom. We got there hours before check in but the staff were lovely and let us play on the computer/net while we waited for our room to be ready. Would def stay there again!

The staff was great help with finding your way through the city (where to get a drink, where one should have a snack, etc.) We really enjoyed our stay, it was just a pity that the hostel was a little further from the center. But of course this also means that we were in a nice and quiet...

Very small hostel. Lots of character, but the only disappointment was the number of bathrooms provided for the number of guests (2 showers shared between everyone). Very far from the city and a bit of a walk to get to public transport

Super friendly staff and clean. It was quiet, but not very far from the tram strait into town. Three computers for internet, and there was a staff member available at all hours. I really appreciated the lockers.

This place was great, quite easy to find if you took the tram and not too far away to walk to the centre if you prefer doing that. Kitchen was small but ok. Free internet was great. Staff were quite friendly.

Thank you for going out of your way to meet us at the bus station, when we had trouble finding the place. You were very hospitable. We loved the murals on the walls! The bathroom and bedrooms could use locks on the doors, but we still felt very comfortable.

Definitely one of the better hostels I`ve stayed in, with some of the best and most helpful and genuine staff I`ve encountered anywhere. The place is full of character and comfortable. the location isn`t perfect but the price makes up for it. Definitely stay here again!
