Description of Grahor

Accomodation Grahor is located in the historical center of Zagreb, within a walking distance to all major tourist attractions, shopping, bars, restaurants and nightlife. It's only 300m away from the main square Trg bana Jelacica, Dolac Market, Cathedral, Stone Gate and Tkalciceva street. It's very close to shopping street Ilica, the Upper town with St. Mark's Church and Lotrscak Tower. The Croatian National Theatre is only 100m away as well as the Mimara Museum . In the neighborhood are many museums, restaurants, shops, farmacies and hospital. We are located in the authentic building of 19th century architecture. Every room has two beds. Rooms are redecorated, large and very cosy, with TV/Cable. Every room has it's own bathroom and possibility to use the small kitchen with fridge and caffee machine, and cosy dining room as well. Tee and coffee are free to use. The food store is very near. The accomodation is on the first floor. Advise about arrival time. Please call on the phone +385 98 735 771 one hour before arrival. Check in is from 12h-22h. Check out is until 12h. Pay cash on arrival.

  “ We arrived only to find nobody on premises. Lucky had mobile phone to ring owner. Be aware there is only street meter parking available apart from finding paid off street parking. Otherwise apartment is clean and secure in centre of town with all sites within walking distance. ”

  “ certainly not ''just by the theatre'' as described in the leaflet that they produce. The owners son met us at the apartment and left before we could blink, said his mum would stop by later, we waited in for 2hrs after she siad she would be there! again, disappering in a flash. Not much fun, a bit... more a bit old and dingy, not helped by the chain smokers that occupied the communal space outside our door. maybe this could be a smoke free area and use the garden instead close ”

We were in a room looking at the backyard, so nothing to look at, but it was very silent and we slept peacefully. The room was cosy, light, new and very clean. There was a TV in the... more the room, but there was a problem with the Wi-Fi internet (not a big deal). Bathroom (and the kitchen, which is shared between the two rooms) was also clean and nice. Grahor has a great location - you're really at the city center - you'll be able to walk to every interesting place in the old Zagreb in under 10-15 minutes. You're also 50 meters from the tram station in case you don't want to walk (Zagreb trams are free in the city center). Staff was also great, very helpful and friendly! Don't forget to call one hour before you check-in because owners don't live there! You won't be sorry if you choose Grahor! See you again, Zagreb and Mrs Grahor! close ”

  “ We surely recommend this hostel to others. It is just a 6 minute walk to the tram. And just two tram stops from the centre of Zagreb (buy a 25 kn day card for the tram and enjoy the rides all day). The two bedroom with private bathroom on was very spacious. Also the kitchen area outside the room... more room was very nice. The lady of the hostel was very loving and warm, I got a big hug and kiss form her ;). Only during the rush hour the road outside was noisy; But we were able to sleep with the window open close ”

  “ Just an apartment but with the organization of the best imaginable hotel. Mr and Mrs Grahor are very gentle, friendly and precise and they'll surely reserve you a warm welcome. The apartment is located in a really central position and from there you can reach every intresting part of the city... more city by foot. Inside is very comfortable, with large, luminous, clean and well furnished rooms; there is a pleasant common space too where milk, coffe, tea and sweets are free to use so as city maps & books! close ”

  “ Hi, the hostel was so pretty, safety and extremely clean. I stayed with my wife in the twinbad room with the private toilette. Owners of the hostel are a good family. Hostel is so close to the city center, it takes about 10-15 minutes by walking, 3 minutes by tram. We are so pleased to be there.... ”

We would recommend it if you like a homely atmosphere rather than an impersonal hotel.
