Our Casbah style hotel was opened in 1998 and is uniquely placed next to the first sand dunes of the Moroccan Sahara. All 16 rooms have air conditioning and come with private bath and large terraces overlooking the desert. There is a very personal atmosphere in the hotel with no large groups and friendly service. German ownership. We are situated in an excellent point of departure for excursions in normal car or 4x4 to the highest sand dunes of the Moroccan Sahara and private casbahs of medieval life style. The hotel is under German ownership and has a fully licensed bar. In 2005 we have added SaharaSky, the first private starwatching station in Morocco.

Mind you: it can be very cold at the roof top at night. Lovely dinners, nice camel ride, wonderful Sahara atmosphere (huge dune just ten minutes walk), close to Tamegroute (a typical desert town). And don't forget the stars....close

Fritz can organise good priced camel tours, but the speciality is the well equiped Star terrace where you can part take in some astronomy. Only problem is it is situated 30 mins from Zagora which leaves you a little isolated if you havent organised a taxi or rented a car.close
