Holyhead is where the ferries from Ireland come in and a little village with a main street. Everything is closed on a Sunday and it gives a quite sad impression. For some reason the main street is full of charity shops - not nice cafes or stuff like that. Most people use holyhead just as an arrival point and then travel on into Wales - but does it have to be that way? My impression was lack of effort.

A middle sized town with one museum, a nice church and a buzzing atmosphere thanks to the university. They have a few good cafes and nice small shops. The sun was shining and the man at the post office explained me how to walk to Ll... - the village with the 4th longest name in the world. The walk takes a few hours, but the scenery is stunning!

Caernarfon is a small quiet town, interesting Castle but not much else to see, but good stopping off point if headed for Snowdonia or going to or from the ferry between Wales and Ireland
