You can go into the palace itself doing various tours depending on how long you want to stay. There is a Children's tour that looked good, but my kids only wanted to see the zoo The zoo is on-site and has the usual selection of animals, but it's well laid-out and they have pandas! There is also a maze and various tours of the extensive gardens. One tip: go early to avoid long lines. If you are travelling with kids, plan two days for this - one for the zoo and the other for the insdie, with different garden activities to break up each day.close

   The Prater Amusement park is a year-round park for all ages. There are rides for toddler age and up. The rides are very expensive (3 euros per ride, per person) and you have to buy tickets indivually. Still, the kids love it after a day of sightseeing. There are lots of restaurants and bars... more The Prater Amusement park is a year-round park for all ages. There are rides for toddler age and up. The rides are very expensive (3 euros per ride, per person) and you have to buy tickets indivually. Still, the kids love it after a day of sightseeing. There are lots of restaurants and bars there, too, so even for a group of adults it would be a great way to finish off a day in the city. It's on the red line deaing east from the city center on the traim.close
