I happened to be in Vienna for St Patrick's day and being Irish I would have celebrated regardless but I have to say that this city is amazing.
From the culture to the nightlife it is well worth a visit. The buildings are amazing and if you are there in the winter make sure you visit the Rathaus to go ice skating. There are great restaurants and bars to enjoy. |

Austria’s capital this city is considered the cultural capital of Europe- and that it is!
Fantastic attractions, good nightlife and great food, would highly recommend for that city break!! |

One word that sprang to my mind after a couple of hours in Vienna and that was 'Classy'. In the buidlings, the people, the palaces, the coffee houses. Everything seems very ornate and immaculately preserved. Some great places to eat and drink which is always good. The Austrians are really nice people too. |

My favourite city is Paris, but my God, did Vienna give it a run for its money. The city center is stupendously beautiful, spotlessly clean and everything functions to perfection - excellent metro system, great shopping, lovely museums and other cultural venues. The imperial palaces and complexes are very beautiful as well but if you want to visit Schönbrunn go very early to avoid the huge queue to get in! The one down side was the local Viennese food, which I found a bit heavy, but there is a wide range of ethnic restaurants so you are spoiled for lighter choices. Classy and chic - what more could you want? |

Lots of History. There are tons of museums and sights. Even if that is not your thing, this is one city that you really should visit once. |

Was pretty expensive compaired to a lot of other european cities (appartfrom the obvious paris, london) Weather was fatastic and so many things to see and do.
The palace is a must, totally amazing, plus the zoo there well.
Nightlife was average though.. |

Never before have I been surprised so much by a city. Really enjoyed it there. Lots to see and the city has a serious amount of class. And don't believe what you heard about everything being shut by midnight - loads of places to go after dark! |

I live here, that's why I love Vienna. Best city to live in. It's nice to get away, but even nicer to get home. Best things are public transport, architecture and the Danube Island. |

Very beautiful but expensive city, prices somewhere are offensively overrated eg. (3.5 euro for glass of water), from the amount of people I saw out on the weekend evening I would thought that Vienna is a city with 200 000 people not 2 million. |

A lot of things to do if weather permits, this city is filled with brilliant architectures and museums! |

Great sightseeing ,beautiful and welldressed people.Amazing Architecture.DONT leave without trying a Viennese snitchell. |

Too expensive, and not really that interesting. Spend a day here if you must, but not more than 2. City is dead in the winter evenings/weekends and the opera...let\'s just say I fell asleep and then left half way through. |

Vienna is a great city for culture and history. It is a bit pricey in places, but good deals can be found. If you are into high fashion labels, they can all be found here. The food was great everywhere we ate. We were there in mid November and the wind was a chiller!!! Definately be prepared to layer your clothes. You will definately will not be bored in Vienna - lots to see and do and don\'t miss the Opera. |

If you think Paris is classy...forget it! Vienna is Europe\'s (hidden?) treasure. Been there twice with a large interval between visits and it\'s still the best. And the people are so friendly. |

Beautiful old city, very cultural, lots of supermarkets and cheap eats |

Vienna is a beautiful city without the crowds of tourists. Woudl love to go back there. |

Having been there in the summer, I think that the atmosphere around Xmas time really makes Vienna, and if you`re lucky enough to be there in the snow - it becomes an even more picturesque city.
One thing to be aware of though, Vienna is not very big. A few days max is plenty to see all that is essential. |

Vienna is very classy, and pretty cold compared to what I\'m used to. There is always some kind of cultural event going on, but if you\'re looking for a party, those can be found too. Everyone is friendly and a lot of them speak English (and don\'t mind having to). The entire place is clean and has a lingering smell of roses. |

easy to find and close by. Quick check in and all the facilities |

I picked a rough time of year to go; winter. It was very cold with massive snow fall. Hindered much of the sight seeing. |

Vienna is amazing. There is nothing more beautiful than crisp clean snow!! |

Great city with lots of places and monuments to see and cultural events to attend. In one word: astonishing. |

I loved Vienna-the people and the place were great and so friendly-I\'ll definately be back even though it snowed and it was cold but it also added a special Christmas feel to the city. I\'ll definately be back.-loved the lights and the Christmas markets. |

Vienna in November is not as vibrant as it is during the spring or summer seasons. Not as many tourists at that time but the cold weather does not allow for really enjoying a beautiful city and appreciate it the way it can be during the warmer months. So, if you really want to go to Vienna, go in the spring to summer, more to do, and you can sit in the many open air cafes and enjoy a leisure day instead of wanting to find the next warm building. |

I went in winter so the weather was cold and overcast but other than that Vienna was AWESOME! Beautiful buildings, filled with culture, and the public transport is SUPER easy..What more could one ask for? |

Wien is the city for Music, Schnitzels, desserts and culture. I got the impression that life in Wien revolves around music and cakes. Not to mention that every corner in Wien like a postcard picture and there is constantly something to see. |

It was freezing!! Rainy and windy (unfortunately just came here from sunny Greece!!) But a very beautiful city, lots of museums and beautiful gardens and buildings, a lot of history and culture. A good place to learn, i wouldnt really recommend this city for its nightlife. A beautiful city nonetheless. |

If you a culture freak then Vienna would be a right place for you, with all its museums, theatres, music halls and opera of course. A bit Paris-like architecture might impress with its grandeur, number of royal palaces (namely Hofburg and Schonbrunn). Especially around Christmas time at night when all the lights are on. Be sure to have a stroll through Christmas markets, get a cup of gluwein (warmed red wine with spices) and a grilled wurst (sausage). I thought that after Louvre in Paris, Prado in Madrid, Ufizzi in Florence I had enough of museums, but Vienna Fine Arts museum (Kunst unt Historische) is well worth visiting, due to its amazing interior.
You can either do some window-shopping watching Swarovski, Cartier and Dior boutiques shining around, or spend some of your money in any of the great number more down to earth shops. |

Not a town to have big big party but to go there with your girlfriend or to visit musems. |

A great hostel. The common areas are great for meeting people and chilling out. The kitchen is mall and sometimes you have to wait to use it. The staff are also very friendly. |

Being the capital of Austria it certainly boasts the colorful culture and remarkably rich historical heritages which are highly worthy of a visit. A journey during the summertime is far more preferable, though. |

Staff was nice, too bad the credit card machine broke down. Rooms are tidy and the lockers spacious. Bathrooms are clean and they serve a decent breakfast! |

I really loved Vienna, I want to go back in the summer. There is so much to walk around and see and great shopping! The subway is great, fast and clean! |

VIenna did not disappoint! We were only there for two days but we were pleasantly surprised. |

Vienna is a great city, very much to see and the people are extremely kind. If you come from the Eastern part of Europe, prepare yourself, it\'s very expensive. Eat as few as possible in the city centre, try shopping in the 15th district for example (round Westbahnhof and out) and buy your food in supermarkets like Billa, not in restaurants. Yes, and we haven\'t seen any ticket inspectors on the vehicles:) |

If You did or did not visit Vienna before... i believe you have to go there anyway!! it was my second time there and i`ve found some new places, some new buildings and some new things, that made Vienna the city i like very much!!
i love KUNST HUS and buildings that are near that place!! i like the old town(too crowdy for me though),the opera, the parliament,prater... i can write and write...
i think if you can, just do it and go to Vienna!! |

Vienna is a really wonderful city. The public transport network is outstanding. You can rent bikes if you want. Be sure to visit the Karlskirche where there\'s an INSIDE elevator lifting you at 35 m inside the church. |

I went during Christmas and hit every Wienachtsmarkt there was. Try the apfel-punsch. Vienna itself is a big place with plenty to do and TONS to see. If you see one palace though, like Schlossbrunn, don\'t bother seeing the others, like the Hapburg palace. They\'re amazing from the outside, but inside it\'s all the same. Just get lost, enjoy the architecture, see some operas or some classical concerts and enjoy the coffee and sacher torte |

for the most part i loved vienna. the sights and culture were amazing. the only part of my trip i didnt enjoy was the people. after coming from germany were everyone was super nice and friendly. i went to austria where the people are not so friendly. it was a little suprising seeing as austria feels like germany. |

The hostel was clean and the staff was very helpful whenever we had questions. The bar was loud at night, but you could tell that they tried to keep the noise down outside. I don\'t think the walking distance to the Westbahnhof was bad at all. The metro is really easy to get the hang of. I would for sure stay here again and reccommend it to others. |

We were expecting so much more of Vienna. Maybe we weren´t in right places. Arthistorymuseum was very big and quite tiring but naturehistorymuseum was very interesting and full of animals. Sigmund Freud museum was just full of pictures of Sigmund´s friends and so, but in cafe Freud, there was amazing sachercake! |

I went to Vienna to pick up my residence permit, and then I have been staying here for 9 months already.
The city is great and full of cultural events. Everything is in ordered. The public transport is so gooood. They even have a website for you to plan your trip with public transportation.
The only problem is that it\'s not cheap here. But it should be the case when you are staying in one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. |
