I think the only reason it wasn't as fun was because it wasn't very busy. Also, the louge area is a little bit hidden and in other hostels it is near the entrance and center of the building which promotes more socialization. All was great in this hostel expect for the unwelcoming staff. Very clean & a beautiful view....on a clear day.

The location is far out but the metro system is easy to use and takes you right there. This isn't a party hostel or a particularly fun one, but if you want a good place to sleep go here. Cleanliness was very good.

The staff is extremely rude. It is located very far from the city center and few information was provided in advance in order to get to the hostel.

Amazing location! It's far away from town, but so worth it. The staff gave us plenty of advice, but it wasn't really that good. Might have just been unlucky.

magnificient location, a little bit far from the city centre but a very nice place to stay, in the heart of a big garden. very good, but not if you want to stay neart to centre.

No Kitchen :( Awesome location though...wonderful panoramic view of Vienna city, and I regret not spending more time here. Stay here and you won't regret a moment.

Lovely location easy to get to the city 20 min bus and train ride.Fantastic view from up there, we liked that there was lots of grass and trees.Great secure parking and free too.Good laundry

even if it's little far, it has the most beautiful view on Vienna. Conections with busses and underground are great, so you don't need to worry how to get to the center...the staff it's really nice and the breakfast is all that you can eat. we had a great time!

This is a nice quiet location with a gorgeous view of the city- unfortunately the trade off for this view is that it is located quite far from any points of interest and although it is open twenty four hours one would be hard pressed to get back after midnight without spending an arm and a leg...

Clean and safe. Location was about a 30 minute bus and train ride out of the city however public transport was very frequent and really easy! definatley recommend

Palace hostel is very nice situated on top of hill with a great view over the city, very quiet and calm area. If you wanna live central and enjoy city puls and night life this is not your best choice since you need to take both U-bahn and bus, aprox 30 min away from the city. But if you don't...

We had a very good time in Vienna. The hostel is beautifully located and the room was CLEAN and kept clean during our stay, very important. Small suggestion: the pillows are syntetic = too hot to sleep on should like to sleep on cotton ones. Breakfast is excellent. Many thanks for your...

One of the cleanest hostels I have ever been to and the best view of Vienna. It is a little bit out of the way, but the public transport system is really good - the bus tells you what stop it is so you know when to get off.

This hostel is quite a bit away from the main part of the city. It is located on top of a hill with a great view. It's very beautiful and peaceful, but I would not recommend it if you need to be close to the city center.

This hostel is in a beautiful location up on a hill overlooking the city of Vienna. If you want to be right near the city centre this may not be the place for you but if you appreciate natural beauty its worth the sacrifice!

Great hostel. I would recommend it to everyone, who wants a clean, friendly, and secure hostel in Vienna for a decent price. The view of Vienna at night from the hill is simply amazing.

I knew the hostel was a bit out of town, but as there were no cooking facilities and the restaurant was closed fro a private group, there were no eating options in the area besides an expensive restaurant about 200m down the road. Better for groups/teams/families than backpackers.

Many problems here: really out in the sticks (at least 40mins into town, usually over an hour), mainly families wanting to sleep early, only 2 English channels on the TV in the tv 'lounge' (grotty and in same room as ping-pong). NOT recommended.

Nice location ist not close to town but if you like a quit stay in a nice surrounding then this is the place to go. Only the beds were not so good but the breakfast was very good

The hostel is good but a lit bit far from Vienna dowtown. But the public transpot in Vienna is good and it is not a problem to me. The area where the hostel is localizated is very beutiful. The breakfast is good.

Typical HI hostel -neat, clean, adequate breakfast, maps etc etc. A bit out of the city. Be ready to pay for taxi often if u come back late in nights or wanna catch flight/ train early in the morning. Overall, definitely to be recommended.
