A great hostel to stay in: nice staff, nice location (there's a metro station near the hostel) and above all incredible facilities; the only problem i would point out is that the rooms (mine, at least) were very very damp, and the bed was like wet. Anyway i really like it.

Very nice new clean hostel. Good facilities and the staff were very informative. Being such a big hostel/hotel it just doesnt have the same atmosphere and charm as other smaller hostels.

The hostel was amazing! Hard to believe but probably the cheapest and the greatest place I've ever had! It's located very close to the railway station and 20 minuts by feet from the city center (it's also linked with a huge street with lots of great shops).I arrived, and the reception girl... more

Good location (20 min. walk from the city center), helpful staff. I slept in a 6 beds dorm at a very correct price compared to other places in town. Not a place to party, if it's what you're looking for, but a very convenient base to discover Vienna. Claude, from France

Do Step Inn is in a great location near Wien-Westbahnhof & about 30mins walk to the centre. We stayed in the hotel rooms--we booked twin but they had to put a camp bed in as they'd made it up as a double. So it was cramped, but there was a TV & en-suite, not the cleanest, but not bad. This is a hostel and hotel combo so it`s a little weird. The kitchen is also the smoking room so if you don´t like smoke you should not plan to use the kitchen. They do not take credit cards. Also, the rooms do not get internet access which is annoying. If you want a place right near the train... more

A typical hostel best describes this one. If you are staying in the dorms be prepaired for a block walk to the building they are in. A lovely hostel in a great location and easy access to the city and to the airport. Only downer was that the street noise as very loud. The many many stairs to the second floor proved difficult with luggage when travelling alone. Staff were very very helpful.

Description of Do Step Inn

The Do Step Inn is a new hostel with a new concept for travelers who want to explore the city with maximum comfort and minimum costs. • We are situated 3 minutes walk from the main international railway station named Westbahnhof. This serves also the main point of public transport of Vienna. The Do Step Inn is right in between the baroque city center (Ringstrasse - 25 minutes walk) and the famous Schönbrunn (Sissi) Palace (25 minutes walk) right next to Vienna's main shopping street (Mariahilfer Straße). So you do not really need to buy a public transport ticket to explore the city. • Our rooms have modern, convenient furniture. We not only offer dormitories (a 6-bed, a 4-bed and some 5-bed special priced dormitories in the basement) but also private double rooms for couples and private twin or triple rooms for guests that prefer to have some privacy. And the most important: Cleanliness is not a word but a mission! • We have no bar as Vienna has so many fun places to go. But what we do have: great kitchen facilities! You may prepare all kind of meals 24 hours a day having the supermarket just around the corner. Save your money! • We may offer you a spacious and comfortable lounge for your private entertainment and for the real backpackers feeling. • And last but not least: we have really fair rates. Please especially check the low season prices. Besides many things are totally free of charge: Internet on our guest computers from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and free WiFi in the lobby; bed linen and towel; shower 24 hours; luggage storage on the whole day of arrival and departure; lockers in most of the dorm rooms, city maps on request. If you look for a small, cosy, private run hostel just do step inn! The reception is easy to find in a blue and yellow house right on the Felberstraße with the big sign Do Step Inn hostel. The Felberstrasse is the street on the northern side of the railway station. ********************************************************* The check-in is from 7.30 a.m. to midnight. All rooms are ready to move in at 3 p.m.. For any delay in moving in you get a bottle of home made red wine. Check-out is at 11 a.m. - but you may stay in the lobby, in the lounge or in the smoking room or use the kitchen until the evening. We have no curfew, no lock-out and no hidden surprises.
