when I arrived I was blown away. excellent value and the view of the grand canal is exquisite. This place was a palace and is a must if you come to Venice. Just superb!

Location is really perfect; down an alley, very quit, but centrally located and when you look out the window you see the Gran Canal rigth in front of you with the Rialto bridge. Lots of activity to see on the water. Appartement is really big with to bedrooms. It's old, but nice.

Great view of Rialotto bridge and easy access to San Angelo Waterbus. 2 nice balconies to see Grand Canal From and close side streets have easy access to shops and retaurants. Nothing in Venice is too far, so if you want something cheap and cheerful this is great for a short break. I guess accommodation is quite expensive in a central location. Arrangement in second bedroom was a bit of a compromise. Arrangement in second bedroom was a bit of a compromise. Some noise disturbance early morning when fish market was set up - no problem with smell from fish market surprisingly - glad to be on first floor level (rather than ground floor) - very pleased to find whole food shop on our door step (we are a family of vegans & vegetarians and we found only one such shop on our travels in Venice). There was no staff involvement; quite matter of fact - shown to the appartment and paid the balance in cash. It turned out okay in the end, but I was very dissatified to find that the accommodation I had booked originally (in San Marco) had been changed without notice and without apology - and no price deduction. I only realised the change when I received an e-mail about suggesting our arrival time, that the travel details had changed and the name of the accommodation appeared different. I would really appreciate a reply about the latter. Many thanks, Corrieclose

Accommodation changed to an apartment near Rialto Bridge/Markets at leasee's descretion [could have been that the Palazzeto was not available or on extended lease] While the alternate apartment can not be described as similiar to the Palazzeto the change was to a much better location... more Accommodation changed to an apartment near Rialto Bridge/Markets at leasee's descretion [could have been that the Palazzeto was not available or on extended lease] While the alternate apartment can not be described as similiar to the Palazzeto the change was to a much better location [overlooking a canal from one bedroom and the markets from the main bedroom. The interior finishings were of a luxurios standard. There was no difference in price but the hospitality and meet and greet aspects ensured our visit to Venice was something special. While you may not get the Palazzeto please consider the booking as the services we received [as well as the change to a much much better locality] should be considered when dealing with the leasee.close

Palazzetto was excellently situated for sightseeing. There were no glasses in the kitchen and a kettle would have been useful. There was also a bad sewage smell in the top floor lavatory. All these were mentioned to the proprietors. Otherwise just right for a group of friends experiencing...
