more like a hotel than a hostel. no social areas and no kitchen for guests to use. breakfast is tea or coffee and orange juice with croissants and jam. no internet.

Good location, breakfast brought to the room, decent prices. Mosquitos in the room were a pain but we wanted basic!

Excellent. The only problem was the smell, but that is a characteristic of Venice, not only the hotel. Anyway after a couple of minutes you get used to.

(There is only one of this type of room). HostelWorld.com gets 0 out of 5 stars for this SNAFU. This hotel has a romantic ambiance and seems to be intended for couples, so I recommend that most HostelWorld.com customers stay away from here. If you do fit that category, however, Locanda Novo is in a nice area a few minutes from the Rialto Bridge. There is a daily turn-down service. The staff is very nice, even though they would not respect our Twin Bed reservation. Breakfast consists of a croissant, toast, a roll, and your choice of juice, tea, or coffee.close

The room, the location and the staff were all great. The best part however is the included breakfast. You get coffee, juice, a roll, cheese, a croissant and jam. It was excellent and they bring it right to you door!

The hotel is difficult to find and is a 25 min walk from the train station. The hotel is well worth staying in, the staff were friendly, it was really clean and had a fabulous character. Room was also air conditioned. Breakfast was basic but sufficient.

A special thanks to Paolo. When we checked in at midnight he made us some tea and made us welcome. Also he drew us a picture to remind us of our stay.

The walls in our room were covered with squashed dead mosquitoes and we let the staff know about our concern to which they showed little interest, we cleaned them ourselves with some cleaner and a rag we got from them. Also, as noted the room had a horrible odour that even upon opening the windows and the door to the room, the smell was regenerating. This did not make the evenings back at the B&B memorable. This was a surprise to us as the rest of the Hostel was really nice and the breakfast was also nice, I would not recommend Locanda Novo.close

J'avais réservé une chambre avec 2 lits simples. A mon arrivée, elle n'était pas disponible. J'ai du argumenter pour avoir ce que j'avais réservé. Cela m'a laissé plutôt froid par rapport à la réservation d'hôtel par internet

Everything was mostly good, but the room was unexpectedly small. The web site made the rooms look much bigger. It was enough though. Also they were not very noise proof. Breakfast was simple but fresh with a croissant and a bun with jam and cheese. Location is central, 5-10 minutes to Rialto bridge. Restaurants nearby also. Would recommend.

This place was amazing! Right in the heart of Venice - but among locals not tourists. The staff were fantastic and the rooms were wonderful! Cheap too! Would recommend this to anyone. Best place we stayed in over the 2 weeks we were in Italy!

We were assigned room #3, which does not have an ensuite bathroom. It was kind of a pain to walk down the hall for the restroom.
