Hotel Caneva was pretty good. the rooms were decent and the bathrooms were clean and worked well. The breakfast was huge and one can eat up for the entire day. the bad part of this hotel was the security, they never checked id when you asked for the key to your room.

Pretty sure they had bed bugs, Staff Also said they would not charge us for a night we missed due to a plane delay and then they ended up charging us. If you are only interested in location it might not be bad. but other than that I would avoid it completely.

Staff were very helpful in providing information on places to visit, how to get there & places to eat. My case was even carried up to 1st floor by Reception Mgr. Buffet breakfast included in cost was excellent with good variety of choices & as much as you could eat. Would recommend Good...

Our room faced the canal which was really cool and neat view with gondolas going by. but extremely noisy in the AM (garbage boats idling super early for hours) and the whole place felt damp. Room was oddly shaped and tiny. but for the price it was not too bad.

Nice staff, old hotel, but beds and bathrooms clean, and breakfast pretty decent. You get what you pay for.

This hotel is quite adequate for a few nights in Venice. In a good location with basic rooms and a bit of a Faulty Towers atmosphere. Good shower. Good breakfast included in room price. We had a nice stay.

I would reccomend Hotel Caneva to anyone traveling on a budget, or traveling with a group of friends. I would not reccomend Hotel Caneva as a romantic get away in Venice!

Very clean, helpful staff, great to have a balcony but the canal is very noisy so take your earplugs. Otherwise a convenient location close to the Rialto and San Marco - we would stay again if traveling to Venice on a budget.

we really enjoyed staying at hotel Caneva. Staff were friendly and place was extremely clean. Good breakfast in the morning too! Great view of the Gondolas from bedroom, which we really enjoyed. bring earrplugs as it gets noisey in the morning with deliveries etc. Easy to find once you follow...

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a good location. It was extremely close to the Rialto Bridge and not to far from St. Marco. It wasn't the cleanest place I have been to, but I have found that Venice is not to clean in general. It seemed par for the course.

Me and my girlfriend, we really enjoyed staying in the hostel. Everything was perfect, location couldn't be better and the twin room n. 29 with the breathtaking view on the canal was excellent. We would recommend this hostel to everyone who wants to be in the centre of the Venice for a low price.

this place is fantastic-- you need to "splurge" at this hostel and go for a private 2 person room, and then do whatever it takes to get room 30-- there is a balcony right on a canal. best view in the city. fantastic location!
