It's the same problem you get everywhere in Venice, it smells of damp towels.

The hostel has a good character and a good location but a disadvantage was that the staff was only present until 5 pm, another disadvantage was that our room had a weird smell maybe of mould.

the hot water system for bathng was very poor .. my friends were bathing n when it was my turn, it was ice cold water! the room itself - the wall had hole ... do patch them up. try to cover up the windows to prevent people from outside from seeing inside - privacy is of utmost importance.

Nice place to stay, especially if you are with a significant other and on a tight budget and can't afford a hotel. If you are staying here on your own, it isn't that sort to place that you can mingle with others easy.

This is by far the nicest place we stayed on our trip. It is expensive but worth the extra cost, as Venice is an expensive city and you should be warry of cheap places to stay. The staff was so nice and the room so beautiful!

About 20mins by ferry from the main train station and the immediate area is very quiet at night. Suits couples.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would have been perfect if not for a truly awful smell in our room which seemed to come from the slightly dated en-suite bathroom, although we never tracked it down exactly. A minor problem for us, and if you have a shared bathroom, one which you'll never have to encounter, as the communal bathroom is modern and stench-free.close

Very quite, quaint place. Tucked away from the busy areas but still very close to the important things: St. Marks Square and a vaporetto stop. Great breakfast too.

We were very lucky staying here because we were given one of the private apartments near the hotel. It was huge and had a full kitchen and bathroom and our own door. We definately got our money worth but the hotel rooms seemed nice as well. Very clean and a great location right near St Marks square.

decent hotel for the price and canal views are a bonus. breakfast was quite good by italian standards. the bathroom is quite old and could do with a makeover though.

the location of the hotel is excellent (it is 2 minutes far away from the Canal of Venice, which in Venice it's very important to move away). The staff is so nice that you think that it 's your home

This was a cute place - try not to show up when staff are "on lunch". You might be waiting a while! Our room backed onto a canal, so a bit stinky. Otherwise the location was great, it was clean and the breakfast was o.k.

We had many troubles because of the disorganized management of Antico Fiore; DOUBLE BOOKING, DOUBLE PAYMENT and Highly Disingenuous response to our claim. The credit company is still trying to process the refund. The very bad impression from this Antico Fiore fastens us down never travel to...

If arriving late on the nightwater boat you should take the San Samuelle stop which is also very close to the hotel. The nightwaterbus doesn't stop at all stops.

We have stayed at lots of places all over Europe, and for location, character, charm, and staff, Antico Fiore can't be beat. It is DEFINITELY worth the money to stay IN Venice as opposed to in Mestre or anywhere else on the mainland, and within Venice, the location of Antico Fiore is prime. Stay here - you won't be disappointed.close

A small hotel that is a lovely 10 minute walk from Piazza San Marco. Our room was very clean and had all the modern amenities that you'd expect from a larger, more expensive hotel. I'll be staying there again if i come back!
