Very unique and special hostel. Best location, our room overlooked the Grand Canal and Gustavo, the caretaker, is the man. He is accommodating and a great cook. This place was the reason our trip to Venice was so fun! Don't think twice, stay a night here!

A nice place for the price, more like staying at a friend's place than a hostel. Gustavo cooks some awesome pasta but is perhaps a little too friendly sometimes... Just hanging out in the kitchen with some wine in the evenings is good. Loved the pink bedding in the girls only room. There was quite a queue for the bathrooms in the morning, the wireless internet is a rip off (10 euro to be given the pass code) and the lockers don't actually lock, but otherwise no complaints.close

L'Imbarcadero is in an excellent location to explore Venice. The fact that it is a small hostel means it is easier to meet people and has a more personal feel to it. Gustavo is an excellent host and the hostel is kept clean and tidy.

Rockin' hostel! Met amazing people there. Feels more like you are staying with friends than at a hostel. Gustavo is a seriously amazing cook. Ask him what he wants to cook, grab the ingredients at the corner market, and buon appetito!

The doors and floors are very noisy and "breakfast" consists of crumbly sliced bread, corn flakes, and coffee. The staff was super friendly. I was mostly shocked about the lack of security in the rooms and of the hostel itself and communication about check in and check out was poor.

This was the perfect hostel! It is located right on the main canal and the staff is amazing. They were really helpful, and even gave us locks to use for the lockers (free of charge). I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a great place to experience Venice.
