Warning: This place didn't know anything about my reservation on hostelworld! Luckily they had space but it wasn't for the same price quoted on here. The toilet has no ventilation.Poor house keeping and room air stale. Dirty pillow case. Water jug was so filthy

Away from the river & holy sites, but that's a plus rather than a minus because it's quiet, and very secure - "gated" hotel. Excellent restaurant, also cafe, gift shop, massage etc. Very good guide for local sites.

We thought the tour was worthwhile though neither of the temples were particularly interesting. We had a clean, comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the garden. No worries with security - we were comfortable leaving valuables in our room. We only ate breakfast at the hotel - it was pretty average, no idea what lunch and dinner are like but I'd recommend the Garden of Eden rooftop restaurant at Hotel Pradeep just for the view and peaceful surroundings.close

The Surya saved my sanity after being up north (or what I call the Piranha Tank). This is a beautiful hotel, with an enclosed gated compound, a swimming pool, great restaurant on premises. This is a beautiful hotel, with an enclosed gated compound, a swimming pool, great restaurant on premises. The room was incredible, clean, large well designed. In my too few days there I got great massages and a haircut. I just would recommend hiring a guide/driver when venturing into the underbelly of Varanasi, though only a kilometer from the rail station, it's a bit away from the ghats. This hotel can save your trip.close

Instead of paying 100 Rs for a heater(ours was not working),you can pay 100 Rs and upgrade your room,so the ac will heat.Indian criteria is much different,so this hotel was really ok.

decent price and clean rooms..provide tours that are cheap and informative. a little out of the way of general life of varanasi but if want a little quiet its the place to go..also nice meals at a decent price
