I absolutley love Austin. Every time I visit I find something new. Great places to eat, many open 24 hours: Highly recommend Huts Hamburgers, Magnolia Cafe and Motzarts (for coffee). Lake Austin and Zilker park are great if your the outdoors type. If you like movies and food (who doesnt): Alamo...more I absolutley love Austin. Every time I visit I find something new. Great places to eat, many open 24 hours: Highly recommend Huts Hamburgers, Magnolia Cafe and Motzarts (for coffee). Lake Austin and Zilker park are great if your the outdoors type. If you like movies and food (who doesnt): Alamo drafthouse is a must! Live music can by found any night of the week: check out Stubbs. And if you like to party: go to 6th street. Word of caution: Austin holds up to its motto "Keep Austin Wierd". There is a wide variety of people including the local homeless transvestite, Lesley, who your likely to see walking around town in a thong, speedo etc.close

College town, great for partying, 6th street especially. Very cool on a Sat night were tehy close off most of it to traffic so you just wander across the road from place to place $1 beers every night, even at midnight was an unexpected find. Excellent live music scene as well 7 days a week....more College town, great for partying, 6th street especially.
