This place looks just as it did when it was a turn of the century Bourgeois home, with hard wood floors, high ceilings and some of the gas lighting fixture still in place. The restoration of this hotel has been finished this year and we can offer you: Singles, doubles and triple rooms, some with private bathroom, others with a washbasin. Hall showers & luggage storage are free. We can give you information about the best way to visit the 'chateaux'(how to get there by train, bike, tours or bus). The hotel is closed at 10pm, so if you want to arrive after, can you call for us to give you the code and your room number

They didn't ask for my identity card either, and I prefer be checked than feel unsecured in the hotel.close

this is not really a hostel, its more of a hotel at hostel prices. they don't, like, rent out towels and sheets--they have clean ones waiting in your private bedroom and bathroom. not good for meeting people, but if you want a really nice place right next to the train station, this is perfect....

Very nice place to stay and close to the old part of town. Not at all a party hostel if that's what you're looking for. Very clean and comfortable rooms, quiet at night.

This was a lovely hotel. Much more than what I expected for the price. A short walk to everything in town and right across from the rail station and the bus station. A perfect way to end my trip in France.

Free WIFI internet (from our room); though unfortunately the connection was troublesome at times despite the good range. The location is excellent, very close to everything in Tours, including the train station. Security is one area where this hotel has tremendous room for improvement. Anyone can walk in and take a room key of a row of hooks on the wall, particularly as the staff are very rarely at reception. The insistence on leaving room keys, but having them so accessible to anyone is simply terrible security policy. Also it was a bit of a hassle getting assistance from staff, with often long waits for staff to arrive at reception. It's a shame that security is so lax, as the hotel is excellent in many other areas. We would stay there again, but if the security has not improved, then we would keep our belongings with us again rather than in our room.close

Excellent location near the train station and an easy walk to many nearby shops and cafes and into the old town. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable. We had a room on the back that was very quiet.

We were delighted with our stay in Tours, The accommodation was more like a Hotel than a hostel with such friendly and helpful staff, and only 3-4 mins from the train Station. I would highly recommend it. Safe travelling to you all.

A very nice place to stay when you're been in some crappy hostels! This is just a budget hotel, you have a bathroom and toilet in your room. Everything was very clean and smelled nice! You have your own private room, so you are not likely to meet other people. Location is right by the train station.

We had a private bathroom, but the shower was really annoying - you had to keep pushing a button every 30 secs to keep it going. I was concerned about the security - you had to hand in keys when you left (common in Europe), but it was possible to take your key off the board on returning without needing to ask staff. Value for money was fine, but if you have more cash to pay for somewhere better I would.close
