Welcome to Toulouse and welcome to Hotel Chez Tony, just a 10 minute drive by car from Toulouse centre, Blagnac airport and the train station. This two star hotel offers excellent service and comfortable accommodation at very competitive rates. Please note that Hotel Chez Tony is not in the city centre of Toulouse itself and you will have to take some form of transport to reach us. Do not book my hotel expecting to be able to walk into town and then give me poor feedback with regard to location as I feel that this is unfair. There are 2 restaurants with bar next door serving three course traditional French meals from only 11,00 euros, and that includes wine! There is also another with an all you can eat buffet with wine dessert and cheese for 12 euros 5 minutes away. (Closed Saturday night and all day Sunday) The hotel is only a 10 to 15 minute drive in the car from downtown Toulouse (or a 20 minute bus-ride) and are located near to a bus-stop. All the rooms are en-suite, the majority with both bath and shower- just a couple have showers only. Single rooms all contain a double bed. Twin rooms contain one double bed and one single bed for two people sharing. Triple rooms contain one double bed and one single bed for three people sharing, although I can offer another single bed or z bed in room provided you let me know beforehand. This is a hotel and not a hostel, therefore all the rooms are private and not shared with other parties! Please note that I have a lady, Alice, who lives in at the hotel but she is unable to speak English. So if you do arrive late, without knowing your room number, please realize that you are in France and not everyone speaks English here, thankfully I do!! Please indicate time of arrival, either indicating AM or PM or in 24 hour clock, in particular for weekend arrivals, as the reception is not manned all the time. Thank you. Check is normally after 12pm. Check out is 11am. If the key to the room is not returned to us within a week I will have to charge 15 euros. Please ask me for maps and information of Toulouse and we will do our best to arm you with information in order for you to enjoy your stay in 'La Vie en Rose - The pink city. Nearby is Lake Sesquieres, which is 15 minutes on foot from the hotel, for water skiing in the summer c 8euros as well as pleasant walks here, along with the canal du midi, and by the lake, there is also a very large disco as well that holds about 3000 people, so you can invite your friends. Please indicate time of arrival, in particular for arrivals at the weekend and national holidays, as the reception is not manned all the time. Thank you, Philippe

Never met a receptionist of any sort. Not actually a hostel, and rather removed from the city center, although to be fair he does warn you of that.

We had reserved via internet, we were there, and the place looked absolutely deserted and there was no one at the reception. As the surroundings didn't really look very inviting, we decided to look for another place and found one recommended in lonely planet for about the same price - right in...

This is a great hotel. It is outside the city center, but buses run often to take you each way. And in a pinch it is only about an hour walk. A really great place.

Take the number ten bus to the terminus (Glaciere) and take a right. It's a lot easier to find it that way than with the post office and whatnot instructions.

Chez Tony was a good choice - a little way out of town but still only 40 mins walk or a short bus ride. If you´re travelling with friends don´t be surprised if you arrive and find a double bed where you may have been expecting two singled - but hey, it´s a chance to get to know your friends that little bit better. The hotel man (Adam) was very helpfull and could speak both english and french pointing out the places to see aswell as advice on travelling onward. It´s certainly not the Ritz but for the traveller on a budget it´s bloody good value.close
