Accomodation is quite far away from city center. Price is reasonable if you consider travelling in Japan. The owner is very friendly.

At this price you will find nothing better anywhere in Tokyo. VERY close to station, rooms have everything you need, they are clean and the staff is great. Very recommended!

Stayed for a couple days...It was an individual room in a studio for 3. There was a shared shower but the toilet is inside the bed room...That was unusual to me. Takashimadaira is quite far from central Tokyo, but it's just a few minutes away from the station. That was actually very convenient...

He seemed so dodgy so before we left we checked the locks-the balcony door had been left unlocked by them. I felt uneasy going back there at nightclose

Its a nice play to use as a base when in Toyko. The hostel is very near the subway station. The location is far from the centre but everything is so easilsy accesabily by public transport its not an issue. The owner was nice esp when I left behind some documents he made sure i got them back safe...

If you can't find it right away look for the golf store with the basket filled with clubs, and walk in there.

This hostel is so far out of the center of Tokyo! it takes at least 40 minutes on the local train to get into the center...The reception also charged a 5% tax which wasnt listed on Hostelworld.

Security could be improved by adding lockers to the rooms. I could easily have found the hostel if instructions had been given with my booking, but the host collected me from teh station anyway, which made me feel very welcome.

His English was great and he was very accomidating to speak in simple Japanese to me. If having a kitchen is a plus, be sure to come here, but it does take about 30-40 minutes to get in and out of the city center--thus harder to enjoy night life. The place is still awkwardly getting itself in better shape with renovations and whatnot, but even though there are nicer cheap places, it was kinda fun to have a more private apartment than simply a hotel room. There is also a McDonalds between the apartment and the station open 24 hours for the homesick!close

Comfortable place, a bit far from downtown, but conveniently close to the subway station in a wonderfully charming neighborhood! During our stay the innkeeper threw a New Year's party for the guests, which was lots of fun!

The hotel is also in a delightful area that is charming enough in itself. The accommodation was simple yet clean. Takashi Sensei was also a really nice host, inviting us to a New Years Day party. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone, especially given the low rate you pay in comparison to other hostels in Tokyo.close

This is the second time I have been here. I like this place. It's a bit far from the main city of Tokyo, but I like this feeling. This time around, it was a bit more dirty than before, I had a different room though. I would still go here again! That is how much I like this place.

Great place, probably no good if you are just going to party, would need somewhere further south around Ropongi, but was perfect for me, loads of nice local restaurants around and a nice break after busy days in the city. Nothing bad to say.

My friends and I really enjoyed this facility. It is cheap and a good deal. Although it is a bit out of the way on the subway line you just have to plan your day to return by midnight or stay out all night. The staff were very friendly and were always available for assistance.
