Interesting place - not as cool as you think a capsule hotel would be. The 'bathroom' is also actually in the style of an onsen - that is, open shower and spa set up - where you walk around wearing nothing and shower in front of a whole room packed with people. Not for the faint hearted.

It is a must do at least for the experience of sleeping on the so popular capsules. Capsules have clocks,alarm,tv,light..bring your earplugs and be ready to shower next to lots of japanese fellas sittin in a little stool 50cm away from you. Worth doing it once.

Capsule experience was worth it. Definitely a challenge to find at first, but it's in a good area, lots of bars and restaurants. I probably wouldn't do it again, but I'd recommend it if you haven't done the capsule thing. The bath area was pretty nice, and the staff had acceptable English.

Very unhelpful staff, almost to the point of being rude. Though an alright enough stay in a very overtly "manly" environment - porn on channel 7 anyone?

Interesting bathing scenario (group bathhouse) and mostly older Japanese businessmen. The staff was not very helpful and there are no maps on site. I would reccomend the Ace Inn in Shinjuku instead.close

Great sauna. But it smelled of smoke in my capsule. There is also a sealed smoking room but it's meaningless because smoking is allowed near the elevator entrance in the caosule room.

Well located in Shinjuku and not far from the JR Yamanote line. No internet and facilities in the common area are limited compared to other capsule hotels I've stayed in. Good washroom, sauna and baths.

if you don't mind listening to folks pleasuring themselves throughout the night...and enduring the hot Tokyo heat (no AC) in what might as well be a coffin...it isn't that bad.....good location though.

This capsule hotel has a decent staff and was clean with a nice public bath. Most important was its central location, although it is pretty much in kabuki-cho so if youre not looking for the red light district youll have to take the train somewhere else.

Really excellent location, right in the middle of the interesting parts of Shinjuku and really close/easy access to other big spots like Shibuya and Harajuku. Staff speaks very weak english and the check in/out system is bizzarre for anyone staying more than a day or two.

Very difficult to find, but it's a really neat experience. It's also nice and cool in the capsules, versus just about every other place I've stayed in Tokyo where it's hot and humid at night.

plus point is the common bath and suana. minus point for me is that the individual capsule doesn't have a door but just a pull-down straw mat. perhaps the capsules are meant to be like that in japan.
