nice place, well placed, good reachibility in a city as big as Tokyo. I ebjoyed the massage chair, was surprised about the free internet, hairdryer etc an dliked the rooftop bath for females where I met two Austalians and a woman from Guatemala - nice chat.

Los baños son geniales, lo unico malo es que de los de mujeres solo iba el de exterior, pero aun siendo noviembre, no hacia frio y se estaba de maravilla. El Ryokan cuesta un poco de encontrar pero es perfecto. Thanks

Beautiful, quiet, clean, possibilties for having a dinner outside and pretty much anything you can think of. We had a room with a private bathroom which was heaven after staying 10 days in different hostels. The only lousy thing is getting there and back from central Tokyo.

Nice ryokan with nice looking rooms. a bit far out of town: approx. 25 minutes from JR Gotanda station. Lots of atmosphere though and friendly staff. Room was nice except for the smell of smoke. We had two single rooms and the other one smelled fresh.

A great place to relax and rest after a day of out-and-about in the busy streets of Tokyo. I would highly recommend for anyone who enjoys a quiet evening and a great bath!

A great place to stay, a little out of town but definitely worth it. They spent a great deal of attention on the entourage; the garden en the water, the 'small room' for common use and the public bathing houses; a lovely place to stay.

Kangetsu was a great place to stay. It has a beautiful garden area to chill out in and is not too far from the centre of Tokyo. We only had a weekend in Tokyo, but found that travel to and from the ryokan was not a problem.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!

Was a great place for sleeping and getting a real feel for Japanese lifestyle. It is about a fifteen minute train ride out of Tokyo. The staff doesn't speak English though, so be prepared to know some Japanese.

It's a nice quiet place to stay in the south of Tokyo. You need some time to get into town, but if you love to stay in a quiet neighbourhood it's really worth it. Train station, restaurants, bakery and a big supermarket are all only 5 minutes away by foot.

very comfortable and very nicely lay out. it has a very good chilling out area, with massage chairs, dvds, computers and tv all for free. the staff is friendly and efficient. it is a bit of a track from central tokyo, but it is well worth it and it is an experience, a pleasant one to stay at this...

Nice traditional japanese guesthouse. The area around is nice and much calmer than in the city area. But it's a bit of a trip to go in to the central area.

I found this hostel to be quite pleasant. It's a bit of a trip to get to but it's 2 min. walk from the Chou Line and the atmosphere is very natural. Japanese style rooms are nice, an international phone, free internet and a set of great massage chairs. I'd give it an 8

The location of the hostel was not central but there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, the train station is very close and the size of the rooms and the lovely gardens make the extra 10 mins of travel well worthwhile.

If you are not a smoker, make sure you request a non-smoking room ahead of time. It is not on central Tokyo, but that for me was also one of its pluses, since it lets you experience a little of the suburbs.

We got practice navigating the train system, and the neighborhood is very nice. It is quiet and we got to see traditional culture rather than the craziness of the trendy neighborhoods. We will definitely stay there again when we come back to Japan. Also, the outdoor women's bath is amazing! The water is so clear because everyone cleans off before getting in. It's wonderful.close
