Simple and small but has all the basics for what was needed. Was great for my first night in Tokyo but probably would not stay more than one night there. Was hard to find.

All you can need in a budget trip ! Close to Ueno station, it's very convenient when you arrive from the airport.

Very helpfull staff with great mastery of the English language; should you be unable to talk Japanese. Staff is more than happy to recommend things to do in Tokyo, or check up on events for you, making your vacation much more enjoyable.

For one, they had a lobby with computers which made it easy for those first time country leavers like I was. And getting over the jet lag I was able to speak with my wife. Also, it's location was pretty great close to a large park, close to a temple with a lot of cool outdoor shops, and close to the train station. I met a pretty friendly fellow there who helped clear up my Japanese (I don't speak fluently just enough to get around when running into those who can't speak it).close

The staff were friendly, the location is great when coming or going to the airport, and for being able to easily walk to ueno and asakusa, the elevators are a real bonus when you have heavy bags as I did and it is value for money. I will stay there again

Good place to stay, in a very good location. It is hard to find because the sign is small and on the ground, and the hostel is an alley between two buildings. But is an excellent place to stay once you find it.

Fairly close to Ueno, the benefits of a hotel and private bathroom (with bath!) and the benefits of a hostel - kitchen, common room, FREE internet etc. So much better than K's where regrettably we stayed for our last night.

Lots of small shops and resturaunts around the hotel with a variety of prices for all needs and wants. I've stayed here before and highly recommend it to anyone's first stay in Tokyo- the staff are fantastically helpful and can provide you with a great source for sightseeing. Also, a very clean, well kept hotel. Again, a little ways from the train station, but if you don't want to walk it, take the subway almost directly to it. Really great location to base your trip out of!close

It was wonderful to be in Tokyo staying at Oak Hotel. It is a very pleasant hotel. The room is small compared with the space we have in Brazil in our hotels, but of course we have a lot of space compared with Japan.

The location was excellent - a short walk from Ueno station and easy to get to and from Narita. The staff members were wonderful, too. This doesn't seem like a party hotel which was nice when trying to sleep. Overall, it's a very clean, safe, convenient place to stay which I would highly...

Oak is really good in location, around 100m from Inaricho subway station, exit 3, cross the road and walk ahead. The hotel helps store my large luggage while I traveling to Osaka. Staff is good in Eng as a few of them are native speakers. I think it's worth the value of money to stay here.
