Good enough for staying a few nights. Walking distance from a metro station and a 24h grocery store.

They were having a party for their anniversary when we were there which was a bonus as they put on an awesome spread of Japanese party food! Having its own bar is also realy good as it is pretty expensive to go out in Tokyo

That is not to say that it was not a pleasant enough stay. The rooms were clean, as was the kitchen, but both were very small. The staff were helpful and friendly enough, but this hostel does not have the same happy family atmosphere that Annex or Ninja have. It is in a good location, a few minutes walk to the station and Asakusa town and a few minutes walk from convenience stores and restaurants.close

Our room smelled like feet (even after running the aircon), the bathroom smelled like a sewer. The kitchen is a microwave and hot plate (which you can't run at the same time). Walls so thin the bar 2 floors down sounded like it was in our room. Basically, this is just a typical party hostel.

Excellent place to stay and meet people from all over the world. Even a few new friends. 2nd time at this hostal and loved every second of it. The staff really goes out of their way to help you and answer any and all questions. I highly recommend this hostal or any hostal they own.

asakusa district is one of big concentration of tourist accommodations, but indeed a bit far from the nightlife (shibuya). however, it won't cost you more than 4,000 yen to get there by taxi at night. after all, a quiet place to stay, and well lined with metro and JR. rooms are tiny though.

Good for the money! Small rooms. Nice staff. Only real complaint I have is that you can't adjust the shower water temperature, something that sucks when you want to take a cold shower for example.

Cramped twin room (bunk beds), with inadequate air con. Better off spending a little more and getting more than a foot of space between your bed and wall. Kitchen facilities good.

Nice, cheap place with a nice bar downstairs! The rooms are small, but why would you spend time there anyway? They have a living room area upstairs and the subway station is only a few minutes away!

Although it is not in the very heart of tokyo the hostel is a short ride away on the metro so its not a big problem at all. The surrounding area@itself is good and worth a visit alone. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and you cant complain at the price. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

-The staff was very nice and helpful. -Things were very clean. -The bar downstairs was fun to have around. -The walls are very thin in some of the rooms so it can be loud. -The directions were unclear and we wandered around for a while before we finally found it.

Don't expect more than double-decker bad and old aircon, but still enough for a week to feel safe and comfortable.Wireless is HUGELY FAST AND FREE.

Pretty decent overall - rooms were small in that there was barely any space for more than the bunk beds and the ladder. Worst part was no natural light in the rooms. But the common room was nice, and a free drink at the bar downstairs a plus.

It really needs airconditioning - seemingly mandatory in Tokyo's summer! You can hardly sleep without it.

the rooms are small but maybe all you need, even there were just 2 showers i never see anyone else there. its a very good option to go with friends, to go with boyfriend i would recomend something else. the location is great if you plan on using the subway or come back later by taxi.

Great value for our money! The air condition in room 3E did not work properly so it was a bit hot in our room. But for this cheap price in Tokyo and the great bar in the ground floor, I will not complain at all.

SMALL rooms. Won't recommend if you have heavy suitcases, there's no elevators and the stairs are VERY narrow. If you're getting off Asakusa station with heavy bags, there's an elevator at exit A2-b. But the staff are really friendly and helpful!!

This is by far my favorite hostel. The staff is friendly and it's easy to meet people. The rooms are the size of closets and AC isn't very reliable, but those are the only faults I found in this hostel.

This is a great place to stay! I am comming back for my third time. The only downside to this hostel is that the rooms are small, the AC is unreliable and the walls are paper thin. The people are amazing and there are alot of young people here. I would recomend this hostel to anyone.

We stayed in a 2-person room and it was nice... with own air conditioning and comfy beds. The room was pretty small and the walls thin, but all-in-all, this was good. It was located 5 mins walk from Asakusa Metro statio, so really handy for getting around.

Did not enjoy the beds or the aircon that only works for 3mins/hr, unable to turn around in the room. Full of seppos, people played Wii all day, bar was quiet. Quiet location, fair walk from JR station.
