Really glad our room had a key. Staff was awkward but nice, and they were very happy to answer the questions I e-mailed before hand. The place itself was not too hard to find. Beds could really use some work, they were too hard. And the bottom of the door left an awful lot of light in all night. Nice place over all for the price. If nothing nicer were available I'd definitely be willing to return.close

Our room with bunkbed in it was the tiniest we'd slept in all trip. Barely room to put our bags down without falling over them. Also, the living area smelt rather like someone had thrown up on the tatami and the odour wafted up the stairwell. Shower/toilet room although clean, was mixed sex which...

The room was very very small. other than that it is a good place. the train station that you get off at for the hostel has lots of stairs and no lift, so if you have a lot of luggage it is a bit of hard work.

They spoke very good english and were helpful in addition to a number of available travel guides in the reception area. The location was great- very close to the subway station, just a few stops from busy nightlife. The "capsule" bunk beds were very convenient and clean. It was a great way to store your stuff during the day- just lock it in your bed area. Showers were clean and I liked that there was one bathroom area to each separate floor. First floor had free internet (which is always a plus) and there was no curfew. All in all, the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Great character, clean and cheap.close

It could be hard to find if you're not vigiliant- I got lost late at night, but that was probably my own fault. The lounge is cozy and the social environment not crazy, just relaxed.close

Nice clean hostel although the space between the bunk beds is abit small. Go for a capsule bed if you get the option. Friendly helpful staff. OK location but difficult to find so definately print off the map.

Bathroom facilities were immaculately clean, on the same floor as the dorm, and had enough showers/toilets so no one was kept waiting. Temperature through the night was ideal in the dorm - cool air with warm blankets. The convenience of having direct train service (no change of trains) from Narita Airport to the JR Bakurocho Station one block away was excellent and only 1280 yen!close

GREAT place! Common room has an odd smell, but is a neat area. Lots of computers, great kitchen (ask the staff to translate the stove). Going to Kyoto for a few days then coming right back to here before heading off.

For my opinion the place is quite good and would be great for most of the young people (younger than me). Only one thing that I feel reluctant about Khaosan Tokyo Ninja was the sharing shower room and toilet with the opposite sex. That's just only my thought. (- _ -")
