The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was Japanese style and perfect for us. We had a room with tatami mats and futons on the floor. The blankets were huge and fluffy! The night was quiet and we slept great. Using Google Maps "street views" helped us find it quickly.

It was very hard to find, there was no map, just an address in japanese format. The internet was costly (500 yen / 30 min), because it didn't work well and was slow to use (under-powered laptop with Vista and japanese error messages...) The staff was nice though.

The main problem with this Ryokan is that the room smelled very strongly of mildew. I found it hard to sleep. Otherwise, it was relatively clean. The bathroom also had some mildew or mold problems. However, it is relatively cheap for being so close to the heart of Tokyo, so it depends what...

Far from the Yamanote line. The rooms are too small. No place for baggages and old bathroom. Howevwe the staff was really nice and it has free internet: if you have a computer. It is a place too expensive for the facilities it has.

It can be a little hard to find at night, but it is on the doorstep of Senso-ji temple and Asakusa is a great neighborhood. I would definitly stay there again when i am back in Tokyo. It really is more like a hotel than a hostel. Two thumbs up!!close

Turn right once you get to the petrol station! Don't do like I did and walk up the stairs on the left where there is a funny Japanese sign. That's some old lady's house! Ooops. The place you want to go is right next door! Nice place. Quiet. Not a party place at all. But authentic and...

Best hostel in Tokyo. It's clean, the Asakusa Kannon Temple is on it's doorstep and the staff are like a really helpful family. Rooms are large and traditional but have everything you need for a modern living. I wish I could have stayed longer.
