Communal area has no atmosphere, the place is clean but not much else worthy of a mention. 100Y for 10 minute shower! Find somewhere better.

Had a great time staying here. Awesome location for getting about tokyo. Met a great bunch of people and loved having easy access to shinjuku, shibuya, harajuku and a lot of other great spots. Good local restaurants etc shame about the curfue! REALLY close to local subway!

Paying extra for showers and everything else what they consider extra like a book on tokyo to read. capsules with a curtain that doesnt really close, noisy capsules, you could hear everything the others did. Not the cool capsule experience we hoped for. Luckily we only stayed one night..

This hostel really shouldn't pass itself off as near shinjuku. It's not!! The surrounding area is really boring and sleepy. Also the place really doesn't smell fresh at all. Even if you're a backpacker just wanting a place to sleep n shower and be out most of the time, you can really do much...

the capsule hotel experience, hostel style. great place to stay in tokyo, lots of other like minded backpackers here, so you'll have a great time. bit weird having to pay for a shower, but its ok. one stop from Shinjuku station proper.

The "sleeping capsule" beds are good because it lets you do something typical for Japan, but the "Shinjuku" in the name is misleading as it is actually two stations away on a different line and so quite a lot more expensive to leave and get back to each day.

very good location for that price. stayed in the 28 bed mixed dorm, and we slept really well. the capsule concept is excellent as you can have some privacy even in such a big room. excellent ratio quality/ price. One minute walk from a convenient tube station.

Despite being locked out til 4:30am due to the 2am curfew (which is the worst thing a hostel can have) it is a nice hostel which seems to be very clean.

Not too hard to get around to Shinjiku station. However there was strong smell of mould in the shower room area which was not surprisingly located in the basement. If this smell issue can be resolved it'll be a worth of money stay.

Follows the capsule theme, however not as fully packed as the one in Shinjuku. This is a bit more western. Regardless it is a good place to sleep. Not much around but to see Tokyo you need to travel a lot on the metro and on foot so this is not bad. Service was good and staff was helpful. Shame u...

Location is ok but staying closer to a JR station would have been better, considering we had a JR pass. The bunks were cozy and that was the only high point for me. I tried not to spend to much time at the hostel and it was weak dealing with the 2 to 4:30 am closing.

The place didn't smell very good and generally speaking no one really smiled, however the location was good and the beds were clean. You could do better though.

Not met many people while we've been here, common rooms always nearly empty, but as a location to get into the centre of town it is the best hostel ive stayed at so far, 20 seconds from the station then only 2 stops into town. Average on all other fronts though.

A great location, just two stops from Shinjuku and close to the JR line. The common room is a plus as there are always people up there to share a beer and a story with. The 2am curfew isn't a problem if you're happy staying out until 6am in the morning.

I stayed on the 7th Floor and it was great. If you're a single female traveller, go for this floor. The capsule beds comes with privacy curtains and it's a great tool to give you a good nights rest as you get to shut out everyone else when you pull the curtain. Only a short walk from subway...

Very nice staff. Good location near Toei Line station, 2 stops from Shinjuku station. Restaurant neighborhood 5-minute walk. Smells bad, especially the elevator. Expensive for the space provided. No bar.

Ace Inn was alright, but nothing special. Staff did not seem to be particularly knowledgeable on Tokyo tourism. Also, when I stayed there were problems with the hot water. To make it worse, you have to pay to use the showers. Other than that, the capsule rooms were not as noisy as I thought...

I liked it there. easy to get to, and location is very good. the beds are great and i had no problems with the curfew between 2.00 and 4.30, just got in after 4.30 most days... showers are good, and what is 100 yen for a good shower, next to nothing if you ask me. great place!

a bit on the expensive side, but very upmarket. The individual sleeping units are very quiet and provide privacy which is great. The TV room is huge, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. This is the perfect place to rest up after a long flight, would recommend!!
