We didn't stay at Monks Bunk but there affiliated hostel Viru. Very small with nice rooms and free internet and TV.

Booked in here, but actually stayed at Tallin backpackers, hung out between both and both were awesome..! Staff friendly, a little crazy, but know how to have fun. Would definetly stay here again DARLINGS!!

I stayed in a private room. I am only 5'10" and the bed was too small. The sheet only just covered the bed. The private rooms are not that flash especially compared the Old Town in Riga

it s a good hostel, but you have to know that everything in the common area closes at 11 pm : go to bed or go out.

The staff and location really make this place. The only drawback is the pipes getting clogged and over-flowing (landlord, you need to fix this problem -- shame on you!). However, the staff keep it clean and it is a comfortable hostel.

Nice hostel! Not one of he best eever been to, but quite all right. Quiet and good for resting, and they have sister hostel which is a party hotel that you can go to chat and meet other people.

The one computer is nearly always busy and is likewise restricted after 23:00. It's not quiet, it's not loud; it's just really not much of anything at all. Tallinn is a great city best experienced from a different hostel.close

The location is the only good thing about this hostel. There is a girl from the staff that is just nuts, not friendly at all. The cleanliness could be better and the place is so small that you don't feel comfortable there. I would not stay there again.

The Aussie and Pom guys were great help during my stay, always willing to show you your way around. The common area is great to get to know the other backpackers while watching a movie or eating before getting ready to hit the night life. Thx a lot guys!

Super hostel, setup is nice, place is kept remarkably clean and the location is central to everything. The guests were cool and the staff were really exellent. Respect and thanks to Tim, Jason and the girls.

You would be mental to even think about staying anywhere else - staff are top notch, location is perfect, facilities are fantastic. If I didn't have a flight pre-booked I wouldn't be leaving.

For example at the main level the have 1 shower+wc and 1 wc for 12 beds.close

this is a very little hostel, everyone hangsout in the one living space, which was great, the guys working there are good sorts, and there was a really chilled out and friendly atmosphere. where we met a lot of cool people. best hostelling experience ive had!

Nice small hostel on a great location! Although there was no door between the kitchen/community room and the dorm there were no troubles with sound at night. Very friendly, helpful and informal staff!

If you can follow the directions (ask someone, youll get lost), the location is fantastic. Smack in the middle of old town, walking distance to everywhere. No lockers, and the 8 bed dorm was a walk-through to another room and shower. Quite a cool place to stay in, right in the middle of the old town. The staff are given an average rating simply because they are all volunteers who work at the job only for a few weeks at a time. An odd experience, since a broken pipe shut down parts of the hostel, so hard to judge. Staff was friendly and fun, and an interesting group of characters were always around, but little in the way of security.

Other than a lack of signage, Monks Bunk was a fantastic hostel. Right in the center of town, near lots of cheap food and far too many bars. It was like a house party all-day and every night. Good fun. Thanks Timmmmy
