KUMU was also nice, if you enjoy contemporary art.. in Old Town just take your time, walk around and discover your own special cafes, benches and cute streets.. ENJOY!close

Though we visited when the weather was a bit colder, it was gorgeous and I loved wandering the streets. Out 2 days stop turned into 8 days. Leaving the city also was quite beautiful and interesting. There are some historical spots and geological sites to see... I would go back there anyday. The hostel itself was full of life and it made the town visit even better.close

And I suppose Tallinn would'nt be Tallinn if there wasn't a lot of girls who wants the same thing. With a lot softer treatment though.close

When we woke up we thought we'd travelled back a few centuries. The whole town centre was an explosion of colours, smells and flavours from the medieval times. People dressed up offering wonderful caramelized almonds and medieval tortures museum open to freak you out. Tallin plus plus!close

  2. City Hotel Portus 91%

A very good hotel and the location right at the habour is nice if you leave (or arrive) by ferry. I liked the breakfast as well. I didn't like the price for the sauna complex, but I guess it's a good price for groups. all in all a good experience and I would go there again.

For its position you'd be pushed to beat the price. The staff were great and really helpful, there were plenty of nice touches, and although the entrance is a bit daunting, the place has a really homely feel. I would really recommend it to anyone. Great = and they een sent us a Christmas card!!!

The hotel was kind enough to put us in a better room for no extra charge simply because the better room was available. The breakfast was huge!

Top Rated Tallinn Attractions

  1. The Old Town100%

Take a walk around the cobbestoned, windy streets. There are building steeped in history so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. Try the roasted Almonds being sold from traditionally dressed locals in the old town square. Yum!

    • What?

        Tour
    • Where?

        Tour pick up inTaillinn
    • Anything Else?

There are a number of different types of tours to choose from. The tours offer a selection of different sites to see and take in all that Tallinn and the surrounding area have to offer, including its communist heritage.

If you go to Tallinn you should really do a day trip, there's some great stuff out in the countryside, most people don't bother to go and see it. I went on a couple of tours with EstAdventures. Run by an Aussie guy, really knows his stuff about Estonia and its history. Check out their website to see what they've got running. They do a tour everyday

Walk up the hill and see the city, lovely views of the city from here. The castle is quite big and houses goverment so some parts are not accessible, overall though a walk around the grounds is nice too. Don't miss the Dome church beside the castle - stunning
