Tallinn City Guide

overall city rating 79%

Located on the north-west coast, Tallinn is Estonia’s capital and largest city. Covering just over 61 square miles, the city is home to more than 400,000 people. Complete with picturesque Old Town, Tallinn also sports a number of modern skyscrapers downtown. Toompea, an area filled with cobblestones and narrow streets, is a huge draw thanks to its medieval buildings. Other attractions in Tallinn include the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Museum of Occupations and Viru Gate, the city’s main shopping drag. From traditional dishes to the best in international food, Tallinn has it all, with numerous restaurants suiting all budgets scattered across the city. To top it off, you’ll also find plenty to do here once the sun goes down, including a plethora of bars and clubs.

A nice old and cultural city. But very busy and even too commercialized. It is recommended not to buy your souvenirs at the City gate in the lower town. Buy them in the high City, cheaper and much better service.

Loved this city, full of character and plenty to see and do. the old town is full of small boutique shops, outdoor seating in cafe's, town hall is in the main square and over all the city is very easy to get around. Highly recommended for a weekend trip
