What can i say, so much to do so little time! This I think has to be my favourite city in the world. From the amazing beaches - Manly, Bondi, Coogee (the list goes on) to the nightlife - Darling Harbour, Paddington, Bondi, Coogee (good old CBH!) to everything else there is to do such as the bridge climb, dinner in the revolving restaurant or a trip to the aquarium to have some sharks swim above your head, as i said the list goes on! The weather ain't half bad either! If you ever get a chance to take a long haul trip, Sydney is not to be missed! |

One of my favourite cities in the world. Sydney has everything you could want in a city and more! Didnt have enought time to see it all!
Highlights included the obvious: Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge and shopping! A trip out to Bondi Beach is just so worthwhile. Also highly recommended is a harbour cruise at sunset with great views of the Opera House, the bridge and the suburbs further down the river, plus the food is to die for!
Also a walking tour around the city is the best way to get a feel of the place when you first arrive. Also a trip out to Macquarie's chair is great as the view from here is great.
For food I'd recommend going to Chinatown, great choice of restaurants, also the food in one of the food courts there is fun and great for a large group as each person can just order where they want and you can still share a table. |

Sydney is so cool, there is no other way to describe it. Its got the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, the Rocks, great botanical gardens and probably one of the best beaches in the world, Bondi. Amazing places to eat out at as well. |

There is so much to do in sydney. You have Bondi Beach, Coogee Beach, Manly Beach, All the Northern Beaches, the Harbour, the Opera House, Watsons Bay and so much more.... |

Sydney will be everything you imagine it to be and more. I guess the weather is a major plus but the one thing you will notice the moment that you step of the plane is how laid back it is. It has it all, fantastic sites, great nightlife, beautiful beaches and good shopping! You will never have enough time in this city! |

Many cities make the claim but in Sydney's case it's true. It really does have something for everyone...hit the beach one day and the mountain the next. Spend the time in between shopping, eating, drinking and just hanging out. You just can't spend enough time in Sydney, I love it. |

I loved Sydney! The night life was fantastic especially out by Bondi beach which is known as Co. Bondi. There is so much to do and see in Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Bondi Beach, Manly beach, Sydney Tower, Darling Harbour, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Just walking down beside the Harbour is gorgeous! I would definitely recommend the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb to all ages. It was brilliant! Sydney has everything; I can’t wait to go back! |

Top marks, beautiful city, very clean, good parks and great sights.
Sydney Bay is spectacular and Sydneysiders are laid-back and friendly. I was there in October, the weather was great, not too hot, sunny and dry. Definitely recommended. Don’t miss: Darling Harbour, a very popular area with shops and restaurants with a good view on Downtown Sydney’s skyline; Harbour Bridge, walk across if you get a chance, it’s worth it; The Rocks, where British settlement of Australia started; Sydney Tower, amazing views of the city from the observation deck; The Opera House, the Botanical Gardens and Hyde Park. |

I found Sydney fanastic ... it open my eyes to a mixed cultures. good food, and enjoyment for the great outdoors. One of my favourite places was Watson's Bay Doyles seafood restaurant was fab especially on a Sunday with a live Jazz band and some good wine also lovely walk way went to see the Sydney to Hobart New Years Day Boat Race. The Sydney bridge climb was very enjoyable but totally overpriced... Oxford Street clubs are out there and definately worth a visit it will open ur eyes. Bondi Beach is like a Beverly hills movie, Cooggee is much nicer as a beach and much more relaxed. The Randwick races are also a must do.... |

One of the nicest cities I have been to, Sydney offers so much for everyone. As a tourist there is so much to do and see from the Sydney opera house to bondi and coogee beach. The weather is great pretty much year round. There are also lots of things to do around Sydney like a trip to the Blue Mountains. |

Sydney is a great city with plenty to do and see. The atmosphere is pretty good and the people are nice. There is something for everyone there, from surfing to opera. Blue Mountains are good, there is a revolving All You Can Eat Buffet and the harbour jet boat is good craic. We lived on George St. the main street in Sydney, which can be a bit loud, so don't do that ;-) It was quality waking and joggin to the Opera house but to be honest... it's too similar to other large cities - if you're lookin for something different - don't spend too long there. Oh, and God damn cockroaches! |

6 days is the perfect amount of time to spend in Sydney - there's so much to do. |

An incredible city, although now is not the best time to visit as it's pretty cold and wet! Still, we did have some gloriously sunny days too... |

More so than many cities, Sydney is what you make of it. I've had good and bad visits. It's an expensive city, although you can visit cheaply; it can be unfriendly or it can be amazing.
If you're doing Australia, can you afford to miss Sydney? Possibly. If you're ticking the sightseeing boxes, you'll have to see the Opera House and maybe walk across the Harbour Bridge. Otherwise, there's not much here you can't get in Melbourne, which is often cheaper and more laid back. You might be well advised to give Sydney a day or a week, but for longer stays, try elsewhere. |

Sydney is the most attractive city in the world but has recently become very expensive. Apart from that its great. |

Just a lot like any other major city of the world. Slightly overpriced and very busy. There is a lot to see though and the harbour bridge and opera house alone are worth the trip. |

Lovely city, nice beaches, friendly people and lots to do! I would recommend going to anyone. |

great city to either chill out or go out in. plenty of pubs n bars to hit and plenty of sights too. great weather even as were heading into the oz winter |

Loved the place. Home from home with better climate, cleanliness and people with a sunnier and more positive outlook on life. Well worth the million flying hours to get there... The best was arriving and getting out of a cab at the Opera Bar with the Opera House to the right, the bridge just across the water and the CBD lit up to the left. An amazing sight. |

Had a terrible weekend in Sydney. Well some bits of my holidays were good. Been there twice now and twice it kept raining. But visiting the clubs was great. and the food. I especially loved going to Arq on Oxford Street. SO much fun. |

I love Chicago, my home town, but Sydney was really awesome, I only wish I had more money and more time. |

What a great place |

I had such a good time in Sydney. I was there for the Semi Permanent Conference but I got to see the entire city in my spare time and it was a trip I will never forget. |

Sydney Harbour Bridge |

Sydney is pricy, but has indoor and outdoor activities of all kinds for everybody's tastes |
Manly is far enough away from the city centre for it to be a whole new place yet only a ferry ride away when u want a big night or massive shopping spree - great |
Maybe I'm biased cause I lived there for a year, but Sydney is my favourite city in the world. It's got the harbour, the big, brash city centre full of skyscrapers and beaches. What more could you want! Shame it's not closer to Ireland... |

IT IS NOT SO FUNNY AS MELBOURNE. |

Sydney was a wonderful place. All you would expect from a city and much more. There is so much to see and do so make sure you spend a good week there if you can. |
With only a few days to explore, I managed to see a lot of the special places, cruise the Harbour and climb the `bridge\'. Sydney is a beautiful, vibrant city with a wealth of natural attractions as well as it\'s more famous man-made ones. |

had a great time in sydney although we were only there for a day and a night.
definately take a boat ride round the harbour and check out the zoo... night life in knigs cross is excellent but a dodgy area...
Get in with the locals... always good!! |

2 days are enough! Better at the endof the vacation, when the jetlag has gone and you are used to Australia (1week min.) |
Sydney is a very good place to visit. The weather, people, view of it is perfect. People are very nice and friendly. But the expense of it is too high for me. |
Cool city with a nice vibe and easy going peolple |
Lovely city to be back again and killing the jetlag. |
Definitely Sydney\'s a place worth visiting, as it is rich in people and culture. |
sydney is nice but stay away from kings cross!!!! |
Great City, Lots to Do, Lots to See, Great Public Transport |
So much to do so little time. Jet boat ride the harbour (make sure you bargain them down), Bondi junction shopping centre is massive, Kings Cross has a good nightlife vibe. |
Not the best place to stay. The room was tiny and absolutely boiling hot. The sheets weren´t clean and the kitchen is too small for the size of the hostel. We stayed around the corner in the Original Backpackers for the same price and it was so much bigger, cetter and cleaner. |
Pay attention to other reviews that mention skimpy breakfast, poor internet access, not very clean, bad neighborhood, and NOISE. All rooms face a courtyard and anyone returning from a drunk lets everyone know they\'re back. Sheets seemed very old & worn. Good security, but that\'s the only positive I have to add. |

What was originally booked as a 10 day stay to find my feet in australia, has now turned out to be a 5 weeks and running stay.... Due to a number of things, but mainly because of the atmosphere thats been created here, hard to believe it feels like a 2nd home already, location great, bbqs awesome and nights out like going to hooters, everyones happy! |
