I stayed here for 2007 NYE. Here's a summary: - rooms infested with long-leg spiders, cobwebs in the corners, and cockroaches (saw 7-10 spiders around the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom on the first night) - flowerpots outside collect rain and bred mosquitoes - floor and bathtub on check-in... more I stayed here for 2007 NYE. Here's a summary: - rooms infested with long-leg spiders, cobwebs in the corners, and cockroaches (saw 7-10 spiders around the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom on the first night) - flowerpots outside collect rain and bred mosquitoes - floor and bathtub on check-in was dusty and had paint chips - breakfast was stale bread, no fruit, no meat - owner made us check-in before showing the rooms - only after did we find out there is a no refund policy via posting on the door - wireless internet was down - most importantly, the owner was disagreeable to most of my above complaints and tried to blame me for having unreasonable standards since I'm from Canada - btw, 10min from CBD is incorrect - it takes 10min walking to get to Burwood Stn, and 10-30min by train to CBD depending on which train is availableclose

The owner, Janet, and her Argentine husband run a relaxed and super-friendly B&B accomodation. When I was there, to visit my two young daughters, they cooked a birthday cake for Emma, gave her a small present and invited me to be their family guest for Christmas Day. No words can describe... more The owner, Janet, and her Argentine husband run a relaxed and super-friendly B&B accomodation. When I was there, to visit my two young daughters, they cooked a birthday cake for Emma, gave her a small present and invited me to be their family guest for Christmas Day. No words can describe how greatful I was - 10,000 miles from home and 10 from my daughters, yet unable to see them....... The accomodation is old-fashioned, but extremely comfortable and most hospitable. The breakfasts are more than enough to keep you going all day, whilst there is a BBQ available for guests to use too. The room was comfortable, with cable tv and fridge, whilst there was also a pc with internet connection (free, if slow) for guest use too. I could not recommend this place more highly.close

Really enjoyed staying here. The breakast in the morning was excellent and it was really handy having free internet. Was fairly easy to get into the CBD on the train.
