When we arrived there was no one to check us in so we had to wait for 4 hours until we were able to get in our room. The hostel seemed full of people who practically live there which made us feel like we were intruding on their home. Also the kitchen was absolutely disgusting....I reccommend...

Very good hostel for meeting new people! Hostel days trips involve eveyone togeter and creates a good atmosphere. Some bathrooms could do with some repairs though.

The sheets and the bathroom were not clean... I booked for a 10 bed dormitory (18$/night) and when I arrived, they told me that the 10 bed dormitory was full and that I had to pay 23$/night for an 8 beds dorm. However, after some negotiations, they made me pay 19$/night which is fair.

I liked the atmosphere, and the in-room faciilities were fantastic (BATHTUB!!). The kitchen/dining area was way too cluttered though (everyone's food bags on the floor) and the hoste was generally unclean.

Alright hostel...not bad value for money, although it's near Kings Cross, which is a bit dodgy. If you don't mind the hookers, it's fine.

This place had definate funk factor and was a pleasure to stay in + loved the garden bar... perhaps that should be renamed CLUB PALMS. SO close to main road but at the same time location makes it really safe at night. Will definatley be back.......

When I got there I saw a cockroach crawling down the wall--this was the first of three sightnings. There's a house dog who's friendly and cute. They were doing a bed bug clean up the day I arrived, but I never saw any. Not the best hostel I've stayed in but very easy going.

arrived late but there was someone to help us check in and get a room. Everyone we met there was a great laugh and really friendly, we are going back as soon as we can as we liked it that much - if you want a room in sydney i would def. consider the palms - its not too busy but not quite either -...

Palms is a great hostel: a nice size, excellent location, cheap (and with a lot of extras), very social--but still good for sleeping. It has a lot of character about it. And very nice and accomodating staff.
