Great if you are young and want to party and drink lots. Not good if you want to sleep. Felt I wasn't in the right place for what I wanted. Was told by someone, who was just getting up at 3pm, in a pretty grotty and smelly room, that I was in the 'party' room. Went somewhere else.

Its a great place for the younger crowd to party all night , meet others and drink goon untill they pass out? If you are over 25 or a little bit sensible then stay elsewhere. great for the crowd that like to binge drink and dont need to sleep.

This place was great!! small enough to start to really get to know the other people staying there but big enough that you were always meeting people too! DONT miss out on Mad Monday!! The people are amazing, the location is great, and so easy to get around Sydney from there!! I would definitely...

My favourite hostel in Sydney by a long shot! Small but not packed like sardines in a can like others. Has a great buzz, plenty of friendly travellers.

The supplied meals were of a poor standard and an evening meal consists of more than a small amount of chips and a savaloy sausage. Breakfast was definatelty as budget as one could get. The room was disgusting. It was dirty. blanket for a curtain. The Hostel is stylish decorated and I felt very safe and welcome there. If you want to you can easly walk into town or just get the train at Kings Cross wich is 2 min walk away. The staff is very friendly and planing activities to do all together. Cleanliness is absolutly no problem in Asylum.

It's a small hostel without much public place, but very nice and warm, just like a shelter in a lousy world. People here are very nice. If you like parties and free meals, it's the best choice to stay here. Plus, the toilets and shower rooms are cleaned every hour! Cleanest ones ever!

the bathrooms were suprisingly clean, but the rooms were not. But that didnt really make a impact on my stay. cool people, really nice staff and a great commonroom. Big plus for the free internett!!

The place was cool not that clean though ...we had big bugs in the room but that didn't stop me to sleep there as is close to downtown and you come back must of the time drunk. The stuff was really cool. Good place to stay !
