This was easy reach of central station but from the direction though it was much closer than it was...still safe to walk from station though. Some of the facilities listed where not available like free of charge internet and AC. but all in all the staff nice rooms clean and safe.

Character style hostel in a quiet area of sydney. Beware the schizophrenic owner, who seems to be confused by the parent/child, staff/guest roles. Also beware for those weary early morning travellers, reception doesn't open until 9am.

A nice out of centre hotel/hostel. 5-10 minutes from Redfern station. Good kitchen and rooms. Only one bathroom on 1st floor though. Good staff. A good quiet place to sleep and eat. I prefer that to hostels with drunks coming in and out. Thanks.

The hostel is quite old but still quite clean and tidy....it is actually run by a couple and both of them are very kind and helpful....location is near central station but Redfern is quite a complicated place...but the hostel itself is nice.

basic accomodations. A good 40 min walk to Circular Quay and 30 min to Darling Harbour, but an enjoyable walk as it allows you to see a bit of the city on your way there.

The cheapest place in Sydney. Very friendly, but at least a 20 min walk from the centre of the city and no real social area. Everything 'closes down' pretty early too. It was exactly what I needed after 7 months of travelling, but if you're looking for a party atmosphere then it isn't the place.

Best hostel I stayed in, because it's a hostel where people are friendly, not a crazy or noisy place. I appreciated that. It's also cheap, but all the facilities are there. There are three pcs, you can use Internet for free. And there is no common TV, only in the rooms, that's just perfect. No...

Location was ok for getting to the center, but it's a bit too long to walk to darling harbour, and way to long to the opera house. Nice with the park (with a pool) just outside though. Our biggest concern was the cleanliness. There was water all over the bathroom floor practically every day, and it was all in all quite dirty. Also, there just wasn't enough bathrooms! If you were unlucky you had to wait for quite a while to get in. All the toilets had showers in the same room, som don't hold it in too long cause you'll have to wait... The kitchen is also quite dirty, and is situated almost outside. The only place to eat is outside as well, under a roof, which works unless it's cold. The manager and staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms themselfs are good. They do have free internet, but only for 15 minutes, unless there is a line, which there usually is, and there's only 3 computers. Hope this is helpful to you!close
