Excellent value for money. Picked up from Domestic Airport. Kind and understanding staff. Allowed us to leave bags on morning of checkout. Upon return happy for us to shower and freshen up before taking us to the airport! Superb.

Very pleased with our choice to stay over one night & with being taken to the airport next morning. Would't hesitate to book in again at the Old Rectory.

Free breakfast each morning, friendly staff and comfortable rooms really make this a great place to stay. The staff go out of their way to help make the stay enjoyable. The hostel is within range of the flight path to Sydney Airport so there will be aircraft noise from about 6.30 in the morning until 10.45 or so at night. It is also on the corner of a busy road and the road noise can be considerable so ear plugs are recommended if you are bothered by noise while sleeping. We stayed 4 nights - hardly got any sleep for the first night, but the other three nights were fine after I had got used to the noise and used ear plugs. It's well connected by train and bus. The bus stop is right outside the hostel and the train station about a ten-minute walk. We used the trains exclusively, walking to the nearby Sydenham Station which is one of the stations that connects with most of the train lines so is easy to get anywhere in the Sydney easily. We'll most likely stay here next time we visit Sydney.close

Good value for money: including regular breakfast and as additional service: doing laundry, drop off at car rental etc.

Would stay there again. With the train station not far away you are in downtown Sydney in no time. Been on the upper floor, bathroom was very busy in the morning but ok. (6 rooms share one toilet, shower in another room.

The Hostel World map has this guest house in the wrong location. Please revise your online map to show this house in TEMPE - a good 30 minutes SOUTH of Sydney - NOT on the north side of the harbor near the bridge as your map currently shows.

Close to airport but earplugs help when planes start flying in morning. Sean and Corry could not have been more helpful, trains and buses within walking distance for Sydney, small and friendly. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay for easy access to the airport, and the collection/drop off service to the airport made it a plus for us. Liked being able to make a coffee at any time. Would stay there again !

Sean even dropped me off at the nearest train station a couple of times which was nice as I'm not a great walker and it was raining a lot when I was there. For plane watchers, it is excellent! They take off and land right in front of you!! Not all night though - you are able to sleep without any problems. Free breakfast every morning to start your day. All a great experience.close
