This is touristy--no bones about it--but it was FREAKIN' FUN! My husband and some friends of ours had a few drinks back at the hotel before we headed out. My husband and some friends of ours had a few drinks back at the hotel before we headed out. I highly recommend this as the pre-booze makes this experience that much more fun. Oh, and if you go by taxi, be sure the driver knows where you're headed BEFORE you turn on the meter. Our Finnish taxi driver had no idea, but drove us around on the meter nevertheless. When you arrive you get donned with a fur-hooded parka. Next you walk through a series of locks to get to the bar room, which is floor to ceiling ice. The seating is blocks of ice covered with fur pelts. The bar is a huge block of ice. Even the "glasses" are large cubes of ice with a hole drilled in the center. The list of drinks is small and they all include Absolut vodka (this IS the Absolut Icebar, after all), but the experience was memorable and it's a fun story to tell. Two thumbs up.close
