there was a fault in the booking procedure of hostelworld, so after our arrival in the middle of the night we had to go to another hostel -best hostel in skeppsbron 22, the rating is therefore for this hostel. was quite noisy and uncomfortable: workmen because of works on new rooms, only beds...

baths' floors were a little bit dirty, and they are not many baths in the hostel (maybe that's why the were dirty) but the location and the bedrooms cleanness are well worth it they have also free internet access on 3 computers and a nice comun kitchen with fridges

BEST HOSTEL SKEPPSRON I was in an eight bed dorm with good beds, v clean rooms. Showers and WCs all very clean and pleasant; as was the kitchen, which had tea and coffee for use of all guests. No lockers in the dorms, so some vulnerability. Good internet.

Fantastic hostel...only problem was that its surrounded by churches and the bells would go off randomly at ALL hours of the day and night. You can't beat the location though...

The best location there could be! The main sqare of the old town. The hostel is small but cosy, friendly staff, good rooms (we even had a tv in the room with many channels), kitchen that is great equipped, modern and clean with a dining room. Free internet, great atmosphere, quiet and personal,...

Staff actually didn't have our booking! Although they did have one available and let us check in early so we could get some sleep. Note extra 'cleaning charge' if you want to use sheets they provide.

I have stayed only for 2 nights in Best Hostel, so I haven't enjoyed it, but I thinks it's a good hostel. Its location is amazing: its in the center of Gamla Stan (the old town). Maybe the only negative point is that there are only a few bathrooms and they could be cleaner.

The best hotel at old town deserves his name; It is really a good place, centrally located, quiet with all the things i needed : kitchen, internet...I had a 4 bedded room with my wife and 2 children and for me it was the best place to stay!

Lars, the guy that runs the hostel is excellent. I visited with a group of male friends and we had a bit of a party weekend. In retrospective it might have been better to book a place with less families. However, Lars was very easy going and we made an effort to keep the noise down.

With reservations, I had to wait for the reception office to open. I waited for over an hour without an apology or anything. The owner was not friendly and most of the people i spoke with also had to wait to check in. You should call when you arrive for them to check you in BUT, if you are...

Great hostel! Excellent location in Gamla Stan, right across from the cathedral. Great kitchen and living area, three computers with free internet. Also met tons of great people staying there... would definitely stay again :).

I thought this hostel was overrated the rooms are good but security not great as no locker. When i came in there were people waiting outside the reception and couldnt get into their rooms as they had arrived late and the reception was closed. Staff were helpful enough. Overall vibe wasnt that...

Mixed feelings..... Fantastic Location and unbelievably clean. However we had a bit of an issue with the security; The front door was left unlocked all night, and the spare key to our room was, left in the hallway for anyone to take. However we had a bit of an issue with the security; The front door was left unlocked all night, and the spare key to our room was, left in the hallway for anyone to take. Consequently someone took the key, went into our room and stole most of our belongings, including, money, passports, phones, ipods, cameras,etc. The staff were very helpful the next day in helping us get emergency passports, etc. However one feels that leaving the front door unlocked and spare keys for the rooms in the hallways is just ridiculously foolish and totally irresponsible of the hostel! And it cost us dearly, forcing us to cut our trip short! They need to get some lockers, and lock the front door, simple!!!!!close

The best location you could ever imagine in the old town. Very clean, reasonably cheap, big rooms, cool hang out area and kitchen down stairs. The best hostel in scandanavia so far.
