St. Andrews is a great town (the smallest city in Scotland, because you have to have a Cathedral to be dubbed a CITY in Scotland) with a whole lot of character. – posted on Aug 2008 2Good location. The mattresses were pretty uncomfortable and the shower leaked which made the bathroom a bit messy. Also was quite noisy which didnt matter for us as we were out til late anyway but just a comment for other hostellers
