I am an older hosteler, so I am not usually looking for a fun hostel, as that usually also means loud late into the night, but there was a muscial group from Uruguay that played in the hostel bar, that made staying up late very fun. In fact, their concert was one of the biggest highlights of my... more

There is a reason this hostel comes highly recommended! It has great atmosphere and all the services a traveller could want (downstairs bar with cheap drinks, laundry service, knowlegable staff...). You would be crazy to stay anywhere else in Seville.

I've stayed at the Oasis Sevilla twice, and both times it was a good experience. My only complaint is that the second time my room wasn't in the main building, but in some other building 5 minutes away. It was still very conveniently located, but there were no personal lockers in this room,... more

Great hostel! No wifi in the rooms is a bit of a hassle. Having a bar that serves cheap good drinks is a new bonus for me! The kitchen is really great to cook in. Terrace is great. Tours are top notch. A+

They charge for towels, it is really loud if you're anywhere near the kitchen, and there wasn't much hot water, but the manager is great and so is the bar and activities they put together. A great place to meet people- we'd definitely recommend it. The room is really nice and clean too.

An amazing value, with friendly staff who do their best to see that everyone has a good time. The bar was a pretty incredible deal too, at least for the first day before they halved the size of their beers while maintaining the same price (tsk). But a good time in a great city all the same.

Description of Oasis Backpackers Hostel Sevilla

Welcome to Oasis Backpackers Hostel Sevilla! Just at Plaza Encarnación 29 behind the church, right in the center of town. Seville has all the great things Madrid and Barcelona have been trying to leave behind for decades - siestas, bullfights, tapas, flamenco - and it is incredibly sexy and beautiful for it. A city where people are united by tapas and divided by football and where the ghosts of Spain walk the streets, be they fictional, like Don Juan and Carmen or historical, like Cervantes and Columbus. Winding your way through the narrow streets gives you the feeling of being in a completely different universe; The crowds are welcoming and friendly, and bullfighting; a religion. Being in Seville will leave you feeling in-love and content. Somewhere between the world's third largest cathedral and what was once the tallest building in the world, Giralda, lies your Oasis Backpackers Hostel, located smack in the cultural and historic heart of Sevilla. Whether you want to head out to the Alcazar, Casa de Pilatos, Archive of the Indies (where the historical records of the American continent are kept) or wander through the mass of palaces and parks, you are just minutes walk from everywhere you want to be. If you want to take a break from the road and bask in the warm Andulacian sun you can relax on our rooftop terrace, which overlooks historic Sevilla. If staying in isn't your thing head out to Alfalfa, famous for it's after hours activity, which is within stumbling distance. Our staff well versed in the art of traveling will help you fall in love with the city. Whether you are searching for the best tapas bars, the duende of Flamenco, or just want to use our windows to peer out onto the Semana Santa Procession, we can help. With never ending hot water, high pressured showers, 9 inches of mattress heaven, clean dorms, cooking facilities, roof top terrace with swimming pool, open-air lounge and laundry service (we even fold your clothes) we'll take care of you. Whatever your looking for while travelling, Oasis Sevilla is bound to tickle the taste buds of backpackers on the hunt for something new. We also keep you connected with free and incredibly fast ADSL internet, Wi-Fi access, Phone cards and available phone for keeping in contact with the family. Free: Breakfast, 24 hour ADSL internet access, coffee & tea, Wi-Fi connection, really amazing views of the city from our roof-top terrace, kitchen and even the swimming pool, air conditioning in every room, travel information desk, tapas tour, sheets, loads of ambiance and general good cheer.
