Granada is very cold in March - no beachwear - check the weather forecast before travelling !

Granada is warm and friendly, great small streets with Arabic cafes, good shopping if you know where to go. Alhambra is interesting - either just walk around by yourself or if you want to know stuff get a guide! Tapas are free with drinks throughout the city!

I love Granada specially walking in the Albaicyn, have a tea in front of the Alhambra. Visit the Alhambra. At night, go have an ice cream in Plaza Bibarrambla or Plaza Nueva where you can feel the cool brise from the mountains in the middle of the hot summer...

Granada is fantastic. All its small street where you can get lost, Arabic shops and teterías and their delicious sweets... I loved it! The amazing Alhambra adds a lot of charm to the city. For only 10€ you can walk for 4/5 hours in beautiful gardens and palaces, it's like being in a dream. If you go to Spain, you can't miss it!

Granada is an amazing city, the Alhambra is wonderful but this place is terrible. Staff were not friendly at all (above all the old man of the night shift), rooms and bathrooms were not clean, breakfast was poor, they charged my card without telling me, people at the reception didn't know the prices they charged for the rooms... there are a lot of better places to sleep in Granada.

Granada is small. The major sight is Alhambra. It's worth you to visit once!

The procession was great - plenty of people around, and the chocolate con churros are the perfect aperitif.

Granada has a lot of character...the arab markets are really cool. You can't beat the free tapas...one of my favorite things about granada. I would suggest Beauty and the Beast...a drink and a big plate of tapas for 1,80 euros. La Alhambra is a must...you have to reserve tickets online several months in advance or else show up in the morning (the closer to 8 the better) and wait in line to get tickets for the day.

My family and me were amazed & amused to stay in this outstanding place. Although it's a real hostel with the regular hostels' stuff the location and the building itself makes it a special experience. And a good one indeed.

Granada is a bustling city with many beautiful buildings, be prepared to be squished as you walk the streets especially if its holiday time. eg. semana santa. The weather changed its mind all the time but we did visit in April. Its fab! :)

A very social (and extremely cheap) hostel that is well worth a visit. Right in the centre of the old Moorish part of town, it was very easy to meet other people with the Tapas tour, cheap hostel dinners, spanish classes, and hostel bar. Also within walking distance of the Alhambra - the highlight of any trip.

It was colder in Granada than it was in london when we went at the end of april. there isnt much to do there and all the stores are closed during the day. take a bus an hour to the beach and stay at a hostel there instead, it will be warmer and there will be more to do.

We walked around the city and up the hills which was very enjoyable and also tiring. Nevertheless, it was a very wonderful trip to Granada.

Diddn't know that Granada was the home of the tie-dye, dreads, h@sh, moroccan teterias, sheeshah and leather bags, but this vibe is quite cool, but you can;t beat teh free tapas, round calle elvira area. amazing. this is tapas!! great experience. Just chilling and taking in the views is great and lovely barrio up the hill from the University.

Grenada is fun, but seems to only have the Alhambra as a true attraction. The Alhambra is incredible and so is the town's islamic feel, but it's kind of dirty. Still, It is pretty nice for a short stop.

April is not good time to visit Granada coz the weather is so wierd. Some day is cold and rainny the next day is hot. But this city is really beautiful, especially Alhambra and walk around Albayzin. If you have more time to go to Hammam and chilled out in Moroccan tea house, enjoy chicha ... that's great experience you never forgot it.

Weather wasn't too pleasant when I was there, but it normally is. This hostel is within walking distance of everything, especially the Alhambra and various tapas bars.

Very nice and want to go back already. Don't miss the Alhambra (be there at 7:15 a.m. to buy tickets and have fewer crowds)., Cathedral and the Cathedral Museum. Some really nice outside cafe's below the Alhambra. One downside, this time of year (March) very cold. Some rain in Granada and snow at higher elevations. Would like to go back soon.

Cultur great for the Alhambra! = a Must to see! It only takes approx. 50 min to the beach with the bus/nice day trip! Bus connections are quite good and reasonable. - we had bad luck with the weather, nearly every day rain, which is quite unusual.

It is a nice small city. However there is not a lot to see: the cathedral, the main street (Gran Via de Colon with all the buildings), some buildings and statues in the centre, and of course Alhambra. We only needed one day to see it all and to visit Alhambra.

great place, loved the Alhambra, but after that and the couple of other interesting places, you start to find yourself at a loose end - one and a half days was ample. the city is really interesting to walk around and there are plenty of shops (though you have to search for the ones selling food) and there are plenty of bars and so on. trains from Granada are easy - theres a great over night train to Barcelona, and there are some to Madrid, so its easy to get in and out of.

Granada is a splendid little town to relax for a couple of days. All bars are very hospitable, you get free tapas everywhere and. On top of that an excellent view with the Alhambra on top of a hill with the snowy Sierra in the background. This is as good as it gets. While you´re staying there do not forget to actually visit the Alhambra, vale la pena as the spanish say..

I didn’t like Granada - pretty from a distance but the city center is quite modern and I found the people unfriendly. While there, there was a big open air party in one of the main squares and we found the atmosphere quite threatening: a lot of rowdy, drunken youths. I believe these kinds of open air party are gaining in popularity in Spain, but quite frankly you could have them. The Alhambra on the other hand, is something everyone should get to see at least once in their lives. It is amazingly beautiful and the views over Granada are excellent.

What impressed me the most about this city is the perfect blend between Arabic and Christian culture. The narrow alleys of the Albayzin, the islamic quarter, are full of shops and cafes (teterias) with outdoor tables where you can relax and enjoy a good cup of Moroccan tea. The Alhambra is without any doubt the symbol of the city: this palace-fortress dominates the entire city. Another must is the Sacromonte, a district where caves have been transformed into dwellings occupied mostly by gypsies

One of my favourites cities in Spain, not only because of the Alhambra. The city is so charming and unique that is impossible not to fall in love with. Walking in the small streets, eating some moorish sweet and drinking a moroccan minth tea, shopping in moroccan kiosks.... Visiting the Alhambra is like going back in the past, feeling the history of the south of Spain, it's like living a dream during 5 hours.

Theres some beautiful spots in Granada and its worth the pit stop and even the early morning crawl out of bed to see the castle on the hill. Spend some time exploring the old city trails.

Alhambra is incredible! It costs €10 entry and i would recommend investing in the electronic guides if you want to know what anything is. Takes a while to walk round, but the detail in the castle and grounds is unbelievable! Views are fabulous! Granada itself is interesting, full of winding streets and cool cafes. No more than a day needed though! The cathedral is cool, costs €3.50.

Granada is very chill and is definitely one of those cities that you rarely hear of and is one of the best experiences. If you want to get off the beaten path Granada is defiantly one of those cities. Food is really cheap here. You can order a beer and it normally comes with a tapa for 1.80. The Alhambra is gorgeous make sure you go. The weather is nice and warm, but this time of year it\'s a bit chilly.

Granada was a wonderful city with lots of cultural influence. Architecture and the Muslim influence is really strong and present in the whole city. Also there are lots of partying opportunities and great cheap beer and FREE TAPAS! Lots of things to do, but if you run out of ideas, you can take a 2 hour bus ride to the beach. It was without a doubt, the best trip of my life.

It is amazing to find a town so fun and full of culture that also has one of the world\'s largest tourist attractions. Tourists stay close to the Alhambra, but Granada boasts a moorish district full of tea houses and cheap goods, gypsies living in caves, hippies from all over the world, traditional tapas bars, and a university atmosphere to boot
