Completely shut down, locked up and abandoned with no notices what so ever for the people who had the misfortune to book a room. Apparently they shifted all bookings at Posada José Bocanegra to their other branch right next to Al-Hambra. But they did this without giving any notice. Don't stay at this place.close

Clean hostel with a great breakfast but otherwise it doesn't have much going for it. No pillows and very small unisex bathroom. Its average but I didn't stay longer than I had to.

Terrible experience at this hostel. Hard to find, then when we found it the guy tried cheating us out of our money. Don't stay here if you can help it.

Other than the sheets being a little dirty, I thought it was a great experience. The location was outside the center, but it was only 10 minutes walk to everything you would want to see. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Granada. Towels and sheets are provided!

Good location close to the Alhambra and very accessible to city bus routes. Rooms are basic but clean. Water temperature not consistent in showers and toilet stalls are extremely tight.

The guy who worked here was super nice, the room was tiny and kind of a little white box, but very cheap and clean and respectable. Also there was a teeny little balcony where we were able to string upa little clothesline-web and dry our clothes, which was a bonus!

(e.g. she does not know when you are supposed to check out etc.) when you want to check out, you have to put the keys into a letterbox. so you have no chance at all of leaving your bags in the hostel for the last day to be able to wander around the city. you have to go with your bags or otherwise you will never see them again. you can ring the bell at the front door and NEVER does anyone come to open up. so if you loose your keys you are done for. there are no pillows. the owner is extremely unfriendly (on the phone), she does not even want to give you any sheets to sleep in. the toilets are far too small. there is about 3cm room from teh toiletseat to the door, so you keep on touching the toilet, if you want to or not. and you can't sit on it, you can't stand. nothing. it is impossible to go to the toilet with the door closed. the showers are also far too small. you keep on banging against all the walls. there is no room to put your dry clothes. and if more than one person is having a shower at the same time, you get less water. this is an extremely unfriendly hostal. i have been to many in the whole world, and have never had an experience like this. Don't go there!!!close

The toilets and showers are ridiculously small and awkward - you can't even sit on the loo and close the door, I had to swing my legs around to the side and I'm only 5'6". Also, it is a very noisy hostel - absolutely no noise insulation so you hear every little bump.

After hanging around for about an hour another guest came and gave me a telephone number to ring for some one to come and let me in. Then I had to wait around again. I was also unaware that there was no bedding and on paying for this still had no sort of blankets or anything else just a sheet and pillow case. I think these things should be made more obvious on the internet and then people would come more prepared. There is also no facilities where you can buy a drink or snack and there is not much in the immediate area we had to use the hotel across the street to buy a coffee in the morning. There are vending machines but nothing in them. A bit dissappointing really I think the owners are going to have to look at how this place is run more closelyclose
