Description of Maktub Backpackers`Guesthouse
Welcome to the small Guesthouse Maktub of 15 beds located right in the old CENTER of Granada. Maktub is a XVI century building that is constantly being refurbished and decorated for the comfort of backpackers. We will do everything to make you feel at home and welcome. The Staff: Rebecca the amazing vegetarian cook, Alex the smoky biker, Franko the party starter, Nafta the adventure guide and Linda the Flamenco teacher. FOR FREE: internet, tea, coffee, locker, breakfast, films, and basic vegan food for you to prepare. Also a free Flamenco class with a 4 night stay! We have our own Adventure agency where we organize affordable biking trips, paragliding, skydiving, tour guide, horseback ridding, hiking, climbing, beach trip, road trip, paintball, skiing, snorkeling and more. Granada is situated at the bottom of Sierra Nevada mountains were you can hike the highest peak in Spain named Mulhacen with is 3478 meters. You will be trapped in the past because we run the place like the old-school guesthouse used to be run. In the same time we are always in movement : painting, constructing, dancing, cooking, changing, thinking, drinking, creating... Treat yourself to this active way of travelling for the best time of your trip. It is the cheapest place that you can get downtown!!! And please, no suitcase and hairdryer. We are waiting for you..at night, in a day, not far away... Just as you will be guarded by the angels of the Alhambra, you will be inspired by the creative energy of the extended family in Maktub Guesthouse. Cancellation policy : 24 hours in advance No shows will be charged for their first night.
