An excellent hotel with all the trimings to make your stay enjoyable. We stayed in a suite for one night after returning from India before we went home to Perth, Australia. Simply luxurious and a plesent comfortable stay to adjust us back into western society.

The Rasa Sentosa resort is close to the centre of Singapore - just 20 minutes by taxi and about S$8 - and has the obligatory palm shaded pool and poolside bar. Singapore's 'Park View Hotel' has an excellent location in the city centre. It's only 5 minutes walk from Raffles Hotel, 'Esplanade - Theatres by the Bay' and 'Merlion'. Chinatown is also just ten minutes away. My room had no window though, which wasn't ideal.

Had to make a complaint about the noise from the street - got awakened by the sound of a delivery of gas cylinders at 0500 HRS as they guy drags the metal cylinders across the concrete alleyway immediately below my window.
