Arrived in the afternoon on Chinese New Year so everything was shut but the whole of Singapore was partying. Wonderful atmosphere and the hot temperature was great at night. |

Singapore is a very convenient and clean city; it is suitable to do business. My advise is just spent 1 o 2 days max. Then you can get the bus or plane to visit Malaysia, the country besides Singapore, it is a great country to visit. Don’t miss Raffles Hotel |

Singapore is a thriving city-state that has overcome its dearth of natural resources to become one of the top economies of Asia. However in the crowded streets of Chinatown, fortune tellers, calligraphers and temple worshippers are still a part of everyday life. In Little India, you can buy the best sari material, freshly ground spices, or a picture of your favorite Hindu god. In the small shops of Arab Street, the cry of the imam can be heard from the nearby Sultan Mosque. |

I stopped over in Singapore like most people en route to Oz. A mecca for shoppers, its worth spending a day or two here. Eating out is one of the highlights, be it eating from a roadside stall or a high class restaurant. The skyscrapers are amazing too. |

Singapore a nice place clean good food but there is only so much you can do of it. |

the worst in singapore is(i saw that many other travellers i found on my way think the same) is that there are many unfriendly people.
Often before making the question many of this singaporeans said"sorry i don,t know" they refuse to help you.
Is the only place i found that, people in singapore in general are really unfriendly..maybe because they are too proud of having skyscrapers?it,s a pity. |

The interior is nothing like what i expected it to be looking at their website so perhaps a bit of false advertising. Also common area is very small and hot (there is no aircon in the area). Overall very clean and friendly staff. |

Singapore not really what we expected. Thought we'd get lots of cheap bargains but were disappointed (unless we looked in the wrong places) People really friendly and helpful. It poured down with rain and boy, does it rain! Probably wouldnt go back there on a stopover again. |

People really seems not to be "happy"... What a Pitty!
Expensive cost of live...good weather, but not really interesting. You just need to see it if you have seen before the surrounding countries arround South East Asia.
Not much more to say... |

A nice city to spend a day or 2. we had heard a lot of negative stuff about it being boring, but there is definitely at least one full day of sightseeing. And an absolutly fantstic national museum. |

The country is surprising me but the hostel, Sky Orchids, that I booked via this website, make me more surprising becasue he cheat to me and steal my money. |

I did as many of the tours they had to offer in the 7 days that I was in Singapore .....not forgetting the shopping either, My best place was Bagis Street flea market ...I even managed to score some bargains there. Food was also great my best meals was at George's pub and grill just downstairs from Fern Loft in Singapore |

loads of nature and loads of things to do, very clean! |

Very clean and safe, great public transport - sort of 'Asia Lite' - food and temples etc. very Asian, but infrastructure very European, Expensive food and drink in restaurants but food courts and hawkers stalls excellent value and very tasty. |

Singapore isn't cheap by Asian standards, but it's not bad. We found it to be a great first city to visit in Asia - good mix of cultures (particularly Indian, Malay and Chinese), English spoken everywhere, and easy to get around. |

Singapore is a great city for shopping there are thousands of shops and so cheap. The river cruise was really nice and the trains are so easy and quick to use. U dont need more than 4 days here.
The best food we had was at a restaurant called stiff chilli on jalan besar road the staff were so friendly and helpful. |

 |
loads of places to eat and drink great busy city |

Excellent place for vacation, though hotel accomodations are expensive, but if you don't mind Hostel scenery....then there are plenty. Easy access to transportation.....Metro Transits are literally scattered throughout the city...and cheap too. Stick to local vendor food....and you will enjoy the true taste of Singapore...Cheap and Yummy.... |

 |
Quite expensive and budget is not realistic unless you want to eat the same thing every night.
There's not really any place to get away from it all! |

Location was perfect. Pretty basic accomodation, but wasnt in the hostel much anyway. Felt safe here and thats my main thing!! |

Good stopover city on the way to Australia. Very humid you'll still enjoy a few days here. Very clean city and everything runs like clockwork. |

I loved everything about Singapore!!! SPECIALLY the food!! dont you dare go here and eat McDonalds or KFC or anything else you would normally eat!!! the food you have to choose from is amazing!!! and VERY cheap!!!! one fault i found about the city is that alcohol is VERY expensive! we drank in the hostel as it was the cheapest by far once that closed we found a seven eleven! we went out once and had one beer and ended up going to the hostel! dont let this stop you though!! everyone I spoke to loved the city! very very clean and beautiful! |

It takes a little time to get to know this city, the transportation is excellent and people are so polite, friendly and helpful. As a single woman I felt completely safe roaming the streets late at night and it was wonderful to have places that stay open all night like the Mustafa Plaza. The variety of food is mind boggling...the gardens..if you are into that...to die for..definitely worth a v isit plus many bus trips you can take ex Singapore very cheaply... |

I\'ve already been in Singapore twice before but each single time I\'m impressed by the cultural mixture. Hard to believe that some parts of the city are still like they\'ve been hundreds of years before... but that doesn\'t mean that singapore is oldfashioned... just the opposite! |
|
|
 |
very nice staff and cute fluffy cats..i am sure to come back some time |
|
|

Money wise, Malaysia offered more in purchase power using the USD. For me to chill out in this region, one must travel far North. At my age, being a party-animal is a No-Go!! I\'ll visit with friends both in Singapore, Melaka, and KL.
Since Singapore is very tropical, this visit strengthens my desire to bolster by fasions in more tropical wear!! |

Many ppl thinks singapore is just a stop-over, but go experince singapore by foot and u suddenly realize how much soul and heart the city got |
|

i stayed at this hostel last year. it\'s located at the styled Bugis district, where it\'s very \"middle-east\". there\'re a lot of Indian cloth shops, and middle-east carpet shops, and even middle-east restaurants! the hostel itself is very clean, staff were nice, though the bathroom can be better! |
