More like a hotel rather than a hostel. Not very social, but clean, large, and located in a nice area. Close walk to the metro, and little India is only 5 minutes walk and is a really cool area. Enjoyed our stay.

Nice place, in a neat spot overlooking the city. We had a funny leak from the ceiling that cause d a strange puddle in the bathroom, but other than that, no issues. The pub next door is a rip off though - SGD10 for a beer is a joke.

Brilliant place, so well run and organised. My room didn't have a window though! Free internet was amazing. And the rooftop courtyard was beautiful.

We ended up in a dark room(without windows which is somewhat common in Singapore budget accommodations) that stank of moldiness because there was no proper ventilation. The ceiling had large mold stains coming through. My wife was having a hard time breathing on our 2nd night there due to the stuffiness. Also, our Queen size bed took up literally 80%(no exaggeration) of the room space.close

Staff were determinedly unhelpful, the front desk lacked any local resources such as maps or info on local facilities. The info that was displayed relating to room rates was misleading!. The breakfast was overpriced and ofpoor quality. Positives were the internet facilities and the roof deck.

I have stayed in a lot of Hostels all over the world and this is by far the best. Massive plasma screen TV in the common room, loads of free internet terminals. The Location is also really good. The place is so modern and clean. It is no wonder that they have won so many awards.

You get an own locker with a key in your room for the whole, not to big, suitcase. Don't get breakfast there, it is much to expensive for what you get. Better go to the supermarket on your way to inner city or some of all these coffeeshops on your way.

My room isn't small for me(it has a twin bed and it has free space which can handle more than two twin beds) and it's very secure with keycard access. It isn't a very luxury room but it's clean and that's the most important one. Air condition works ok. The room is cleaned everyday but sheets and towels are only replaced upon your request. There are two private room types. One with windows doesn't have TV, and one with TV doesn't have any windows. I chose the windowed type and enjoyed the view with lots of tropical birds singing in the morning and thunders at night, i really liked it. Besides you can watch DVD movies(there 2 show times per day) and local TV channels on the wide screen LCD TV in the common room at the 2nd floor. At that floor there are also 7 PCs for common and free internet access, but the usage of computers are limited by web surf (using internet explorer). You can also enjoy the view at the terrace ont the roof where you can have some drinks at the bar. The staff is cheerful and helpful, i like them too. Maybe the worst thing about this hostel is its location. It's very near to the centeral locations like orchard road but the location is on a hill top and a little bit secluded. So if you want to go to the downtown, you either have to call a taxi or walk downhill. Walking from hotel to the city is ok, but the return trip can be tiring because you have to walk uphill at the heat and humid of Singapore. There is also a restaurant where you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But I couldn't eat any meals there because of my irregular meal times. Except the location it's ok for me. But if you are planning to stay on a private room you can always find a better hotel near downtown for 20-30 singapore dollars more.close
