Our room (number 4) was on the road and perhaps something could be done to reduce the noise level, which was very loud! Perhaps some information on where to go, what to do, and places to eat close by, espcially for later arrivals, or a map to direct us to the food court, woudl be nice too....

Hi, I felt like the rooms were dinghy because there was only one window up high in the roof and the walls were painted a darker colour which really didn't help the light situation. It wasn't very relaxing because the rooms were so small and dark. Great location though.

Very good location, close to the Arab Quarter and Bugis Junction. Also clean. Definitely not the most fun hostel, but if you just want it to sleep... it's just perfect.

Be carefull about the old rude housekeeper. She will spoil your stay in the place which is more like a prison than a Hostel. Don't go to the place. 2 Bathrooms for about 50 people. Dirty beddings and smelly inside.

Excellent location near MTR, shops and Little India and the single room I had was great but the staff were rude and character/ambience/fun was bad. Reception only opens at 10am and is closed all night, a stark comparison to other hostels i've stayed in

Our 16 people dorm room is facing a busy street and the traffic nearly non-stop all night. Quite noisy. But the location is unbeatable! Convenient to Airport and anywhere in Singapore.

Reception staff was downright rude upon check in. The list of rules (which you are asked to sign) is off-putting. No Atmostphere whatsoever. Fantastic Location though!

The location is unbeatable in terms of convenience...across the street from MRT station and within reasonable walking distance to many tourist sites. The place is very clean, on a 3rd floor, my single room had not windows, but it had good lighting and the a/c worked fine. (a/c used only in the evening which is fine) The shared bathrooms were adequate, never had to wait in line to use it. There was plenty of hot water for coffee and tea. The management was available to check me in at 2am when I arrived, which was greatly appreciated. However, being a hostel, you are pretty much on your own. Internet is not free you buy $3 per 1 hr usage and you were given a code, which you could use over several days. It was almost more convenient to use an internet place elsewhere. And the office hours for the staff were limited. So again, great place, though very little character. For independent traveler is excellent you literally get what you pay for....hotels in Singapore are very expensive...so this was good. There was a rack with a ton of brochures on travel info.close

We received a very poor welcome upon arrival and this tainted our view of this hostel. The best thing about it was definitely the central location within close walking distance of many attractions.

Rooms and staff are ok, location is very good, just cross the street and you are at the MRT station. City center and Little India are only a few streets/stops away.

The hostel is really clean and reminiscent of one you'd find in Australia or Canada. There is free coffee, tea, and toast available for breakfast and a microwave and fridge for guests to use. The major downside is that there are only 2 showers and 2 toilets for all guests to use, but if everyone is quick it's not too much of a problem (I grew up with 1 bathroom for my whole family so I'm used to bathroom wars!). Key card entry for 24 access. Airconditioning during the night keeps rooms a good temp, but it's turned off during the day (better for the environment anyway). I'd recommend Bugis!close

Location is excellent. I think its an ok hostel, but a bit small, with not much room to hang around if you wanna relax during the day. Especially since air-con is only in the dorm. Good to have the free breakfast in the morning , plus the towel! wish they had free internet too.
