It would have been good overall and gotten 100% for cleanliness had the toilet been cleaned and not had some residual #2 on the seat. The staff were very overbearing. Possibly they were incredibly friendly but it was a little to much to the point where it didn't seem very sincere.

Location is intentionally a bit remote and it does provide the peace it promises. But still you are in down-town with a 20 minute walk or 5 minutes by Tuktuk. Very fiendly staff. Can organize lots of high-quality tours around Angkor, especially also (but not only) for photo enthusiasts. Can organize lots of high-quality tours around Angkor, especially also (but not only) for photo enthusiasts. Nice setting, communal balcony. Inhouse restaurant provides good food for breakfast and dinner. Owner is around for hints and tips or just a chat. Free WLAN. Some rooms with window only onto aisle, so check-out room first.close

There was nothing horribly wrong with this place (except that the a/c never got the room completely cool) but there was nothing really nice about it either. We stayed at the Villa Siem Reap the next 2 nights and they were infinitely better in terms of service, staff and facilities.

The hostel threw all the guests and staff a free christmas party on 25th with food and drinks which was a lovely touch. A genuinely nice hostel where the owners (Dave and Colleen) made a real effort to get to know everyone individually. Highly recommended.

For someone who is supposed to know about what is going on in Siem Reap, the innkeep was not useful at all. Did not even have a good idea on where to watch the sunset. Better to book tour with other groups.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful, they were genuinely welcoming. I've yet to me such smiley people in the rest of Cambodia. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip organised by the guesthouse to see a local fishing village, a day to remember.
